Feeling like im watching kids fighting right now.

Thanks for clarifying. In combat sports you have to be consistent to be successful. Bob Sap Ko'd Ernesto Hoost twice, and Bob didn't know anything..he was just huge. Bob was still a bad kick boxer (relatively speaking) because he was not consistent. Saying an mma fighter would get killed in kick boxing doesn't mean they would lose to every single kick boxer on Earth.

All you're really saying is that MMA fighters don't have as refined striking technique as pure strikers, how can you expect them to when there is a limited amount of time someone can train? Logically MMA fighters will never be as refined in an individual discipline on average as fighters who exclusively train that discipline.

One of the most successful kickboxers of all time, Semmy Schilt, began his careeer as an MMA fighter. Numerous fighters in MMA trained in pure striking before they transitioned into MMA, and it's not unreasonable to think that they would do well and avoid getting 'killed', just like he and others were able to.

swear to god it was a thread about the main event

Moroz smashed Jojo though, maybe she just got knocked timid by Val and needs a sport psychologist lol.

Not sure why we've never seen that version of Moroz again, so you might be onto something. In any event, Moroz is not performing well even in her wins ..

nah those were the guys practicing their choreographed fight routine for the next Jackie Chan movie.

You are correct. I was thinking of the new generation of MMA fighter (Sage, Sterling) that have no combat pedigree other than MMA. You are correct in pointing out older fighters that did and others like Rutten that could have done well in kick boxing. Thanks for the impute.

Schilt in his prime would smash all the HW except JDS, Ubereem, Werdum and Cain. If Stipe stood with Schilt in pure kickboxing match it would end bad.
