Let's not pretend beating 5-7 former champions 2-11 years after they lost their belts equals to beating at least 1 current champion or defending the title. And being a "small HW" (no one forced him to fight in that particular weight, by the way) doesn't actually excuse a loss to an older middleweight, for example, no matter how many "former champions" he beat.
Also, he, by his own words, effectively stopped training seriously around 2007 when he opted to do a shitty movie, hoping to make a real star in the cinema. He was so sure he was so much better than everyone in the sport that he could do movies instead of training. It failed, just like his careers in business and politics, thanks God.
He has a couple of good wins somewhere amid the ocean of non-fighters, middleweights and circus freaks. Away from Zulus and Chois of the world, his primitive standup and nonexistent ground game got quickly and properly exposed

Fedor would knock out Blaydes on the feet because Fedor had as much power as Derrick Lewis but 100x more skill and speed and defensive grappling acumen. Fedor was the #1 fighter in the world at any weight class for 7 years from 2003-2010.

40-5 record with with 18 consecutive wins after winning the world HW title. He has international respect and more importantly respect from every all time great fighter who ever lived. The man fought 23 times from 2000-2004 and is still somehow knocking out top 20 HWs I'm 2022 while everyone else from his freshman class is geriatri and long been retired.

You know that it’s stupid to say “only 3 title defenses” when 3 HW title defenses in a single reign is in fact a record that has never been broken. You know it’s stupid to measure opposition over a decade with title defenses that take up a fraction of that time—we don’t expect him to have PRIDE title defenses in RINGS, do we? We don’t expect him to have PRIDE title defenses as a contender in PRIDE, do we? We don’t expect him to have PRIDE title defenses after PRIDE folded, do we? We also know that PRIDE didn’t make every fight a title defense.

Arona, Babalu, Schilt, Herring, Nog x2, Coleman x2, Randleman, Hunt, Cro Cop, Sylvia, and Arlovski are all great wins; Rogers, Lindland. Fujita, Goodridge, TK and Ogawa are all decent/respectable wins. Those are all from the first decade.

if you just count the names and don’t pay attention to their primes and declines, Ngannou has like maybe 6-7 total. Stipe has maybe 13-14. JDS comes close around 15-16 in his first decade. None of the 3 were undefeated, none of them have eclipsed 3 HW title defenses.
