Fedor strengths and weaknesses and his skillset in the UFC today (Long Thread)

Fedor, DC and Cain get KOd by ngannou

I'd like to see them try to get takedowns before getting decapitated in 2 minutes
You mean like Stipe Miocic before he became a washed 40 year old during the DC trilogy?

Ngannou 2.0 is a myth. Guy ran into a clearly washed 40 year old Stipe, and if a prime Stipe fought him today it'd be the same result as the first fight.

Do you realize that in time Mirko was in UFC it was the premier juice leage? Have you seen what Overeem became when he came to UFC from Japan? He gained like 80 pounds of pure muscle lol... Did you not notice Brock fucking Lesnar? TRT Vitor? Randy the NATURAL Couture? Sean fucking Sherk and Lavaar Johnson?

UFC only began serious testing in 2015 with the USADA deal. Before that i would argue UFC was the biggest juice org in history of MMA, they even had the biggest juice match in MMA history with Ubereem vs Lesnar...
Yea you didn't watch them compete during that time. Overeem gained the muscle while in Japan not in the UFC. Overreem progressively got smaller and smaller as he stayed in the UFC. Overeem even got caught and suspended before USADA was implemented. You don't seem to understand that the new foreign fighters were never drug tested. The drug test was an "IQ" test but those new fighters coming in were not privy how to beat the test because they just never had to do it. You need to join a domestic team or pay someone to help you.

You also listed Sean Sherk. He failed drug tested pre USADA. He was even stripped of his belt. He also tried to run away from the arena after his fight to avoid the urine test. Overeem did the same thing as well.

TRT is a separate bag of shit where fighters were getting medical exemptions. It was within the rules at that time. Vitor is a long time user and he can't function competitively without that TUE for testosterone. Lavar Johnson was actually suspended pre USADA as well. He had a TUE for TRT. He was still suspended because he didn't disclose the exemption in his prefight medicals.

Past this prime excuses lol

Ngannou stuffed his td and sent him to sleep

Lol. So after watching his last 2 fights, which he won largely due to his wrestling, you still believe he’s the same fighter he was 4-5 years ago? If you really think he hasn’t been working relentlessly on his weaknesses this whole time, it means you don’t know much about Ngannou, Eric Nicksick or MMA in general

I mean he learned very rudimentary wrestling against a guy who is not a grappler at all. Once he had Gane on the ground he could do nothing much with him. So,sure he showed some improvement, but he didnt need to improve very much to do what he did. He's mostly the same fighter...who took it the ground because he was being outstruck.

It really was. Truly an MMA God
Thanks, appreciate it! It was evident from the fact you couldn’t think of a single counterpoint to what I wrote, that you fell inferior to me. Follow me, my son, and I will unveil the true knowledge of MMA to you

Nobody harped about his foot injury until he started losing in the UFC. The man is just a life long juicer. He can't function in a tested league. It isn't his fault because the organizations in Japan didn't care about steroid use.

You are really going to count amateur fighting too? Someone like Israel has way more fights than Mirko before coming in the UFC. Is anyone going to use the out of prime excuse for him? He never had injuries before? How do you go from out of your prime then go back to overseas to go on a 10 fight streak?

He had a knee reconstruction between the OWGP and his UFC debut, most guys never come back the same from that, especially an explosive kicker like Mirko.

Look at his movement here, his knees were too shot to move like this in UFC. You don't see any UFC heavies moving like this today.

Ngannou would take down fedor

Somebody needs to let you in on the gag, bud. Nobody is responding seriously to your long winded drivel

The way he stuffed Stipe’s TD and transitioned to take his back was rudimentary to you? Lol, he looked like Yoel Romero doing that

Gane’s grappling gets very underrated here on Sherdog because he lost Ngannou. As a Muay Thai world champ, he has an excellent clinch game and he has nasty submissions. He actually has 2 submission wins in UFC, which is more than JDS and Cain had combined in their UFC careers.

That doesnt mean he knows how to defend takedowns.

The physical declines from age typically don't happen until after 35. "Out of prime" is a reference to declines due to age.
So Francis is past his prime now despite him fighting and performing better than ever? If so, then perhaps being in one’s absolute prime or, more importantly, being out of it, is not necessarily such a big deal.

You said that he’s not grappler at all, I proved you wrong.

You say he doesn’t know how to defend TD’s. Why? Because Ngannou took him down? Well maybe, Ngannou is freakin’ good at taking people down. No one else has taken him down.

He did:

Stuff 2 TD’s from Pessoa
Took down Mayes 3 out of 3 times
Stuffed a TD from JDS
Took down Rozenstruick 2 times

He’s definitely a better wrestler than people give him credit for
