Fedor strengths and weaknesses and his skillset in the UFC today (Long Thread)

No real response to the opinions of actual fighters and all time greats?

Makes sense. Night night.

You have no response to anything. No rebuttal. Opinions don't change facts, baby girl.

Your hero went 0-4 against ranked fighters in last 13 years or so, lost to an unranked fighter, and racked up 12 wins against subpar competition to pad his record as he did in the first 9-10 years of his career. Is normal.

3-3 at age 33 when he fought 6 top 10 guys in a row for the first time in his career. Travis Fulton-esque, Joe. Virtually identical.

Khabib doesnt believe Fedor woulda beat Cain or DC.

He doesn't

Now you're claiming to know what another man believes. Shill desperation at its finest. Fantasy.

Cain has been knocked out in 30 seconds and was nearly KOd by French kick boxer Kongo. To think a 27 year old Fedor couldn't beat him is just desperate shill copium. It would be a close fight that nobody could really call.

Same goes for DC. He couldn't do anything to 41 year old Anderson Silva what would he do to a 27 year old Fedor? Another close fight most likely.

You're so desperate you're trying to make up what khabib thinks lol even though hes never commented on the subject. Pathetic.

Cain 1-3 since turning 33 and then retired.

JDS 3-5 with 5 KO losses since turning 33.

Fedor 12-5 since turning 33.

Your moronic logic is just getting you rekt. Keep going.

Every single person Cain and JDS faced were top 10. Fedro faced 4 out of 17 and lost to them all. Cain and JDS were both top 10 until age 37.

Fun fact: Igor had a 38 fight unbeaten streak (37-0-1) with 32 finishes in the HW division over 4 years.

Igor > Fedro

More fights, more finishes, more wins, and no excuses. Ice Cold.

Cain had knee surgeries and fought once in 5 years. JDS got worse like Fedor

Pre Cain trilogy JDS doesn't lose to Stipe

JDS was top 5 until he was 35, top 10 until 37. He didn't fall out of prime at 33 years old. He had one of the most grueling schedules in HW history, and consistently fought top competition. He had more top 10 opponents in his first 11 UFC fights than Fedro had in his first 33 career fights. Travis Fulton-esque, Joe. That is the difference, kids.

A loss does not equate to "getting worse" or "out of prime". That is a coping mechanism for delusional fanatics. Excuses.

He was on a hot streak before Cain 2 and 3. Then lost to Stipe, Blaydes, Overeem the following years

2011 JDS crushes all of them

Cheers

By the age of 35, he had only lost to Cain (x2) and Overeem in the UFC. 2 losses to the champ, after beating him and becoming the champ, and 1 loss to an all time great behemoth.

Don't forget what else happened in that time period. A lot of fighters seemed to "decline" when testing became more stringent. Regardless, he was top 5 until he was 35 years old. Top 10 until 37, and has one of the hardest schedules in HW history.

Yes but he wasn't his best post Cain trilogy. He still had power but he became more defense oriented and chin deteriorated

Fedor ditched his grappling after Timmeh fight and declined

Fedro lost when he consistently fought top competition for the first time. It is a very normal thing. All these hoops you fuckers jump through to deny reality is astonishing.

JDS lost to champions and top 5/10 fighters only until his recent injury in Eagle. His most recent wins (4 years ago) are finishes against current top 5 fighters. JDS is not Fedro. The comparisons aren't even remotely close. You kids try to cling onto that age to push your narrative. Stop it.

Stop it in an Arnold voice. Kk?

<DontBelieve1>

Jose Aldo is 3-4 and retired after turning 32.

Shogun Rua was completely washed up at 33 years old.

Gustaffson is 0-4 since turning 32.

Cain is 1-3 since turning 33 and retired.

JDS is 3-5 with all losses by KO since turning 33.

GSP retired at 32.

Conor was washed up by 33.

Sugar Ray Leonard never won another fight after turning 33.

But FEDOR and only Fedor who had been fighting since 2000 and started losing in 2011 at the age of 33 was still in his prime and only lost because "his competition got better"

This is the kind of logic you get from Fedor hating shills of sherdog. Imagine hating Fedor this much. Bizarre behavior.

Fedor beat Andre and Timmeh before his losing streak. Also beat Rodgers

JDS after 2012 fought less and became more defensive oriented. 2011-2010 JDS beats prime stipe

Cheers

3-3 the first time he fought 6 top 10 guys in a row.

<Prem973>
Here we go with his silly shit again.
Let’s see. He fought the 6 guys you mention over a period of 3 years (a smidge over 3 years, technically).
He never fought 6 ranked guys in that period of time? Sure he did. He fought Schilt, Herring, Nog (a few times), Coleman, Randleman, and Cro Cop over roughly the same period of time. He also fought Valavicius, Fujita, Goodridge, Nagata, Ogawa, and TK on top of it.

How dafuq does it benefit Fedor to squeeze in more fights and fight camps on top of the ranked guys he fought? Every time I bring this up, you pivot and say something about how it’s easier to have more undefeated fights if cans are thrown in or whatever.

But that’s not your argument. Your argument is literally that throwing in fights against unranked guys makes him more likely to beat ranked guys, which is stupid and makes no sense.
I’m not just saying this as a fan of Fedor, but rather as a fan of logic. It’s a poor argument, and I can’t believe you still persist with it.

What was the difference between pre and post Cain trilogy JDS??

The average age of current UFC champions is 33.55. Oops!

Change in style does not equate to "out of prime". Prime is an age thing.

No. The argument is consistently fighting top 5/10 guys. He never fought 4 in a row until Werdum, and he lost. Rodgers was barely even a top 10 guy. He went 3-3 the first time he fought 6 in a row. It's not coincidence, and it's not because he was old and washed. It's even more apparent because he was still able to finish less than stellar comp while losing to the only other top 10 he fought for the next decade+. Padding records with non top guys is less impressive than you want it to be, and makes it easier to put together a streak.

Igor > Fedro because Igor had a 38 fight unbeaten streak with 32 finishes in the HW division over 4 years.

Cry!

Calendar year 2018:

Derrick Lewis--KO's Tybura, beats Francis, KO's Volkov, fights DC for title a month after Volkov...Bummy Brawler, wouldnt be top 5 in 2005

Calendar Year 2007:

Fedor, while rhe world #1, fights HMC and Lindland...GOAT shit

You nerds never cease to amaze me (i.e referencing Bob fuckng Sapp in defense of your heroes)

Tybura beats everyone Fedor ever beat besides lke 2 or 3 guys at most

Bud, the only time I cry because of something you said is from laughing so hard.

There was 7 months between fighting Rogers and fighting Werdum. Somehow Fedor just couldn’t handle it?? <45>
There was 8 months between fighting Werdum and Bigfoot. I’m sure Fedor sat at home in Stary Oskol, whimpering “I’ve fought ranked guys this often my entire career, but never…. in a row! Why oh why did I choose to fight Tim Sylvia 2 1/2 years ago, what an awful path it has put me on!” <Lmaoo>

If Fedor had spent those years fighting as often as modern fighters, 1-3x a year total, and 2 of the 3 were cans or something, then your argument would have merit. But he always fought ranked guys 1-3x a year, he just fought other fights in addition to it.
Fighting ranked guys 1-3x a year, is fighting ranked guys 1-3x a year. It doesn’t somehow get more difficult or more dangerous when they are the only fights one has. That’s stupid.

Dude Tybura lost to Tim Johnson, whom Fedor smoked at age 45.
Fedor would dust Tybura right now if they fought.

I'm not sure if he would beat Francis Ngannou tbh.
