Fedor strengths and weaknesses and his skillset in the UFC today (Long Thread)

Dude Tybura lost to Tim Johnson, whom Fedor smoked at age 45.
Fedor would dust Tybura right now if they fought.

Who cares??

I didnt say Tybura would beat Fedor.

Hes the least impressive on beasts 2018 resume and better than all but like 2 or 3 of Fedors wins...

He beat AA...would wrestlefuck Hunt...Sylvia and Herring 50/50 at worst...ynderdog to Nog and CroCop...lost to johnson

Being VERY generous, "God" Fedor has 6 wins in his entire more impressive than "Shitty" Derrick Lewis' THIRD best win of 2018

Weird that you rebuttaled that statement but stayed silent regarding Fedors epic 2007

Imagine Francis fighting Charles Barkley and Darren Till lol

Derrick Lewis' 4 best wins (Francis, Blaydes, Volkov, Gonzag/Ivanov/Nelson) beat Fedor's 4 bestin a round robin any day of the week

Deal with it

No, but you said Tybura would beat everyone Fedor ever fought except 2 or 3. It’s such a funny statement. Let me guess: by sheer coincidence, it would be the exact ones he fought? He fought 3 guys that Fedor fought, and lost to 2 of them. I guess it wound be every other opponent of Fedor’s he’d beat then, hmm?

And no, I can totally understand the criticism of Fedor’s 2007. It wasn’t a super strong year. PRIDE was folding, Fedor negotiated with different orgs, but after shit fell through with the UFC it was Afflcition he went with in 2008. His 2007 certainly wasn’t like his 2004, it was just a function of the MMA climate at the time.

Nope.

I said who Fedor ever BEAT, not fought. You do disingenuous shit like that a lot tbh.

Hes fought 2 guys who Fedor BEAT...hes 1-1

The average age of current UFC champions is 33.55. Oops!

That's because the 3 most important divisions are weaker they were a decade ago.

HW top 10 is weaker than it was in 2011 and in 2005. You think Lewis and Tuivasa would be top 5 in 2011? Lol

LHW top 10 is weaker than it was in 2011. You think today's Glover and Jan would be champs in 2011? It's no coincidence they're in their 40s and champions today. They're the dinosaurs who are contributing to the higher average age of champions.

MW top 10 is weaker today than it was in 2013. That's why someone like Pereira is champion today at 35 years old. He wouldn't be top 5 in 2013.

Higher age average of champions = less talent and weaker divisions MW- HW.

CHEERS SON.

Lol the delusional little shill is back for another stomping. You said Tybura would beat anyone Fedor beat minus two guys? Tybura lost to Tim Johnson who Fedor destroyed at 45 years old.

Lol @ listing Volkov as an impressive win for Black Beast. Not only was Volkov destroying him until getting caught and KOd in the last seconds of the fight but Volkov also lost to Tim Johnson but was given a Paddy Pimblet gift from the judges.

You're so desperate to discredit Fedor that your posts are getting dumber and dumber, burying yourself further and further. Goodfellas stomping these dishonest rats with my man @BFoe as an absolute delight. We are the yin to eachothers yang.

I didn't definitively say 2. I said 2 or 3 (realistically) and ended my post by conceding 6 AT BEST...which I stand by. Mind you, Tybura is like the 5th or 6th best win on Lewis' resume

Try and keep up

Tybura would get mopped by prime Nog, prime Cop, prime AA and would likely lose to Sylvia the way he lost to Johnson who is a poor man's Sylvia.

He would also have his hands full with Rogers, Herring, Schilt, Randleman, Coleman, Lindland, Fujita and Goodridge.

Sorry but Tybura isn't that good lol to consider him a lock over anyone. He would be 50/50 against most top 20 HWs from the last two generations.

Fair enough, it wasn’t intentional. Anyone Fedor ever beat minus 2 or 3. Apparently Tim Johnson is one of them, which doesn’t bode well for Tybura’s odds. Tybura is 1-1 against guys Fedor beat, but I guess would go at least 35-2 against other 37?
<puh-lease75>
Honestly not sure Tybura would make it past Brett Rogers. Or Fujita even. Can’t see him doing so hot against the versions of Nog, Mirko, Hunt, Schilt, Sylvia and Arlovski that Fedor fought. 2004 Coleman probably beats him.

Fuck it, let’s book Tybura vs Satoshi Ishii right now just to get a sense of where Tubura is at.

You should be ashamed of that 2nd paragraph----Semmy was taken down and mounted in 30 seconds by Yvel...yea I'm sure bhe stays upright vs tybura lmao...coleman was "style vs style" .Fujita very nearly lost to a guy who fought at ufc 1....lindland?? yea im sure a 2 weightclasses lower wrestler would be a fit for tybura lol...

You guys REALLY beed to stop mentioning names like Goodridge, Fujita, Coleman, Randleman etc when assessing TODAYs top guys..

Bud, the only time I cry because of something you said is from laughing so hard.

There was 7 months between fighting Rogers and fighting Werdum. Somehow Fedor just couldn’t handle it?? <45>
There was 8 months between fighting Werdum and Bigfoot. I’m sure Fedor sat at home in Stary Oskol, whimpering “I’ve fought ranked guys this often my entire career, but never…. in a row! Why oh why did I choose to fight Tim Sylvia 2 1/2 years ago, what an awful path it has put me on!” <Lmaoo>

If Fedor had spent those years fighting as often as modern fighters, 1-3x a year total, and 2 of the 3 were cans or something, then your argument would have merit. But he always fought ranked guys 1-3x a year, he just fought other fights in addition to it.
Fighting ranked guys 1-3x a year, is fighting ranked guys 1-3x a year. It doesn’t somehow get more difficult or more dangerous when they are the only fights one has. That’s stupid.

The biggest claim you kids have to Fedro being GOAT is his unbeaten streak at HW. It's a padded fucking record and it wouldn't have happened if he only fought ranked guys, like everyone you're trying to compare him to did. Quit playing dumb, broham. It's been proven multiple times throughout his career.

That's because the 3 most important divisions are weaker they were a decade ago.

CHEERS SON.

The bigger divisions have historically had a higher average age because as men reach their prime (27-35) they gain and retain muscle/bone mass, so they typically move up. There's 2 divisions that average 29.5+ and one division that is 27.5+. The rest are 31+.

You don't know what the fuck you're talking about. The HW division in its infancy had an average of 35+ when the champs first acquired their title.

Too easy, girly. Fuck, your ass is probably so sore.

Fedor’s weakness = undersized heavyweight

Fedor’s strength = fought fake heavyweights even smaller than him… some blowing up from as low as middleweight

Conclusion = gets weight bullied by modern heavyweights. We saw a glimpse of that when Bigfoot plooked semi prime fedor using all size n no skill.

man that 220-230 natural range is rough for people who can’t cut to 205

I didn't say these guys would beat Tybura dummy. I said there's a good chance he'd have his hands full with them.

-Schilt is a multi time K1 champion.
-Coleman beat Shogun who was a top 5 P4P in the world at the time. Better than any win Tybura has ever had.
-Randleman was a 2x Div 1 wrestling champion with unreal athletics and punching power. He beat Mirko who was 100x better than Tybura.
-Fujita was an Olympic level wrestler with power in his hands and an iron chin. He gave Fedor problems but couldn't give the average ass Tybura fits? Makes sense.
-Goodridge has knocked out the likes of Mike Bernardo in K1. He could easily spark an average guy like Tybura if he's on that night.
-Lindland was an Olympic medalist who gave Peak Rampage a tough fight at LHW which some people say he won. That version of Rampage would have stuffed Tybura in a mayonnaise jar.

Like I said, Tybura is mids and only a biased, ufc fanboy shill would pretend like he's a lock against anyone from the top 20 from the last two generations.

Now go clean your room son.

Goodridge, Fujita, and Coleman as quality wins for a GOAT candidate HW???

Wow...2 guys who debuted in single digit ufc events and a guy who very nearly lost to Shamrock

amazing

No...Tybura absolutely would NOT have his hands full with ANY of Goodridge, Semmy, Fujita, or Coleman lmao

Next you'll bring up Cal Worsham and Paul Varelans

Fedor fought Coleman in Colemans next fight after beating top 5 P4P Shogun.

Fedor fought Randleman in Randlemans next fight after KOing #2 Mirko.

Fedor fought Fujita and Goodridge within 8 weeks of eachother in a year in which he fought 5x. A year in which he beat #1 world champion Big Nog.

Stomping on your rat head with facts and logic is the easiest work on this forum.

Saying it doesn't make it so. Tybura is an average fighter. He's not a lock against anyone who has high level wrestling and punching power. You're hyping him up because you're out of lies and excuses.

Fedor became champion in 2003. He wasn't in his "semi prime" against Bigfoot in 2011 which was 8 years later.

Which fighter was still in their "semi prime" 8 years after becoming champion? Lol

He was only like 30… which is like 18 in heavyweight years. There is no excuse

He was 33 and had been fighting for 10 years.

Cain was 1-3 after turning 33 and retired.

JDS was 3-5 with all losses by KO after turning 33.

Aldo went 3-4 after turning 32 and retired.

GSP retired at 32.

McGregor washed up at 33.

Shogun was washed up at 33.

Gustaffson is 0-4 since turning 33.

Sugary Ray Leonard never won another fight after turning 33.

Would you say these guys were all in their "semi prime"?
