I don’t know if you saw (or even cared lol) about the Fedor-Bader breakdown thread I did, but I addressed it there. The GIF I used comes from this video, from multiple time kickboxing champ Gabriel Varga.
The strike is called a corkscrew hook.
What causes the confusion is that with a corkscrew hook, one turns over the wrist as the hook is thrown, so the arm can sometimes be almost straight when it lands—but it’s not thrown straight out from the chest like a jab. Because it’s not a jab. It’s a sort of whipping hook actually, called a corkscrew hook.
