FBI reopens Clinton investigation as new emails found PART 3

That's not good for Hillary at all. That sounds like they are slowly stepping away from the situation. It could just be that they don't want to say anything and criticize him. The CTer in me though can see this as them slowly moving away.

Exactly. I dont think the Obamas ever liked the Clintons. Obama is no saint, but it doesnt strike me to be a low class grifter like the Clintons

He is the only one who doesn't fear the media. He let his nuts hang, and it paid off.

In both cases, I think A) the actual investigation has been conducting fairly and B) the messaging is reflective of bias (either as a result of pressure from Republicans in Congress or Comey's own leaning).

I disagree as to second part. Comey had to articulate his findings that there was nothing to prosecute because of the nature of the person being investigated. Similarly, he has to articulate it here as well. IF he doesn't articulate it, they find something worth prosecuting and it comes out after she's won then the narrative would be that he suppressed the new information to benefit her candidacy. Full disclosure is the responsible way, imo, to handle the new information. And I say information because they've been clear that they don't even know if they have new emails, just information about the existence of emails on a new device.

The FBI would have never obtained a warrant for those emails had they kept silent.

Then you can't take either candidate, or their supporters, seriously.

At the end of the day, the enemy of my enemy is my friend. It was always thus.

I don't take either of their supporters seriously. I never have. Supporters are supporters, they're not the candidates. THey might make me aware of new information but their conclusions are their own.

What is much more interesting and important is that Obama's statement is diametrically opposed to Hilary's position.

Definitely interesting. I don't know about more interesting or important though. I wouldn't really characterise it as Obama throwing Hillary under the bus...

It seems a screwed situation all around. If he doesn't say anything, and it comes out after the fact that there's something huge on her, he's going to get absolutely blasted for a partisan approach there. That looks worse than a vague heads up to Congress, in my opinion.

Hmm. I disagree. I think that would make the vague pronouncement purely a political move to cover his arse. Not something I think justifies the potential political effect of his actions.

You're accusing me of mental gymnasics.. then you post that.

Cute.

If you are running for office, you're not a private citizen. Period.

Trump is not special, he should release his tax information just like everyone else that ran before him.
Putting "Period" at the end of an incorrect statement doesn't magically make it correct. Just some friendly advice.

Trust me, no one of any consequence cares about tax returns anymore. We have the Clinton criminal scandal of the decade that gets juicier by the hour. Trying to rehash old talking points just looks desperate at this point.

Could someone please explain to me how Kim Dotcom got into all of this? I know he's pissed at Obama/Clinton for going after him, killing Megaupload, and the whole extradition/prison thing. But his tweets seem to imply that he has access to Wikileaks level info. Is he simply aware of what Assange has or is he sitting on his own email stash? Is he just jubilantly engaging in schadenfreude? What's going on with this guy?
