If there’s sufficient evidence for it. I haven’t had a chance to review that yet.
But there was an abundance of evidence that it was necessary in Trump’s case, and his supporters didn’t GAF. Now those same people want to turn around and lecture us on how serious things like this are. Why should I want to listen to them? They’re the ones who set the standard that this is no longer a big deal, are they not?
Still his house was raided, charges were filed, and they wanted to put him in prison for it. While not going after others based on subjective estimations of intent and compliance. So the anger was mostly about perceived double standards. Not that hoarding classified sensitive documents isn’t something that requires efforts to obtain them.
I personally don’t think it’s a big deal unless espionage is at play. I’m for them recovering the documents but It’s pretty common and most of the time it’s not really sensitive at all. Definitely not prison
This is a 4-5 year thing so chances are whatever documents Bolton allegedly has, he is denying he has them. So they’ll go looking.
Bolton, while critical of Trump, is not behind any Russian hoaxes and other efforts to legally railroad Trump in the past. He was also one of the main guys that refuted John Kelly’s smears in The Atlantic even after being fired. So if there is a” list” of targets in a revenge tour, I doubt Bolton would even be considered.
If this was conveniently James Clapper or John Brennan. Somebody of that ilk with ties to the Russia hoax.. Then I would be more suspicious this is all in search for a crime.
But let’s not assume that just because somebody is Anti-Trump that any legal trouble that comes their way is politically or personally targeted, when it seemed that way for the last 4 years on the other end..with whole made up legal theories being cooked up and lapped up..and people insisting it’s above board.
