Trump had the opportunity to comply and not have charges filed against him. When the National Archives asked him for the documents back, it was not a criminal investigation. They only turned it over to the DOJ once it was clear that he wasn't going to comply. Other people were also given the option of complying and they did...hence no charges. Lets say two different two people are caught with a broken tail light. One driver pulls over and is issued a warning. The other driver refuses to pull over, engages in a high speed car chase with police and is arrested. Would you be shocked that those two people were treated differently? No? This is the same thing. Its not that hard to understand if you aren't suffering from a decade of MAGA induced brain rot (but you are so...)

However you want to characterize the Biden case, it doesn't change the fact that had Trump acted as Biden did, he would not have been charged.
