Favorite smells. Smells that make you nostalgic.

The smell of my highschool pool before a meet. Or the desert on a crisp morning after a storm. Or that first inhale of sea air as you near the ocean.

This truly brings memories...

Vanilla perfume. Girl that sat in front of me in high school home room always wore it and she died.

Diesel gas smell of a boat early in the morning about to go to sea. Reminds me of the best job I ever had when young working on a fishing boat.

The smell that immediately hits you when you step outside Orlando airport after arriving.

Apple pie baking in the oven

Freshly cooked bacon in the morning

When it first starts to rain after a stinking hot day.
Freshly mown grass.
Hot tar being put on to a road.
Petrol
New vinyl records, haven't smelt that in decades.
New magazines
Sesame seed oil when it's put into a warm frying pan.
Puppies breath before they're weaned off their mother's milk, it's a beautiful sweet smell. Sounds strange, and i thought i was the only one who liked this. However i watched one of those veterinary reality shows ages ago where the vet said the same thing when she was given a puppy to hold. Said it was the loveliest smell in the world, i agree!

4711 eau de Cologne. My grandma always used that perfume. She passed in '98, and I got to keep her walking stick. It smelled like her/ the perfume well into the mid 2000s. It's gone now, and I miss it, and I miss her. She was amazing.

Maple syrup (my family sugars), a home heated with wood fire and log cabin smell.

Smell of lover in bedsheets. Old books.
