Favorite job perk

Best job I ever worked had the following perks:
  • Company catered-in hot lunches three days a week. (Mon, Wed, Fri) CEO wanted five days a week, but small HR said they couldn't keep up with it.
  • Free snack and drink machines.
  • About once a month on Fridays, the company would sponsor events in the office. One time they had a company set up a miniature golf course in the office.
We knocked off work at 1pm and played a round of golf. Company supplied beer while playing.
  • Had Blue Cross/Blue Shield PPO insurance and they paid about 90% of the premiums.
  • Would have regular company sponsored lunches at local eatery. (Yard House)
When an executive would leave the company, they would sponsor a Happy Hour at the local high-end restaurant with an open bar. (Paul Martin's)
  • Rented a theater to watch latest blockbuster movies.
  • We had regular, unscheduled nerf gun battles.
  • When we had to work late to meet a deadline, company would cater-in hot dinners.
  • Company sponsored picnics with food and drinks.
Are they hiring?

From a previous employer, their employee stock purchase plan. I also got shares based off of performance.

Through this, I was able to retire at 42.

Probably the hourly rate and the fact that I can work from home whenever I like... doing basically nothing.

-Pension: 65% of my last salary after 25 years. (No COLA, though.)

-Health, dental, and vision: I pay 20% of it during my employment. 100% after but at the state/group rate.

-Lots of sick, vacation, comp time: Can cash out earned comp upon retirement

-Access to some really neat training

-Concealed carry in all 50 states

-Sometimes, local restaurants bring us stuff on holidyas or will come by at closing time and drop off their leftovers
