Probably cus the UFC knew that Khabib is a nightmare matchup for Conor. I think Nate is an easier fight for Conor than Aldo or Mendes. Nate is hittable as fuck and just plays right into Conor's counter punching game.

Dana said that the excuse for that is that they already 'sold' Khabib and Ferguson to FOX, something like that .

    Habib is a shit draw.

No one cares about him save Russians.

It has absolutely fuck-all to do with "protecting Conor."

Keep fragile Khabib away from main events until he proves he can go a week without hospitalization.

The UFC is keeping him away from Khabib because they don't want to promote a fight that won't happen.

So khabib could take the fight but then actually couldn't because he couldn't make weight. Right

Khabib is actually a big ass dude he probably weights around 185 when he's not fighting. A 170 pound not so drained khabib would definitely be more powerful and harder to deal with. At this point Diaz is the easiest fight for Mcgregor at this weight no threat of strong wrestling ,relatively slow and a flat one dimensional style that's easy to predict.

Everyone knows the UFC is banking on Conor not Diaz they could care less if Diaz loses

How can you be a fan of a guy that can't even make it into the cage?
He's the most overhyped fighter in the ufc right now. He's proven nothing and gets talked about like he's the next Fedor.

Let's not talk about what the "UFC doesn't want to happen", let's talk about what they do.. Diaz vs McGregor sells more fights.....unfortunately for Khabib, a fight with him and Mcgregor doesn't do well among the casual fans

Get to work Khabib, get to work
