Fast food fried chicken ranked by Joshua Weissman

Jolibee is alright but the price point is too high for fast food. I think I picked up some 12 piece meal that came with pies and sides. The total was around 60 something? The spaghetti was kinda gross but the pies were really good.

Oh yea if any sherbro likes fried chicken. I think KFC has a meal deal every tuesday? 8 pieces for ten bucks.
Comes with a free side of diarhea. Only one wet wipe per customer

I thought it is new in America? Did you have it in the Philippines or something?
It is sort of new (resurgence), but in Carson, a heavily philipino city, there was one stashed away.

Maybe it's cause I'm in Canada but popeyes has been awful each time I tried it (the sandwich is great though) but the chicken piece meals were terrible everytime. I always see people rave about it

It depends so much on the management of the particular location. They're the ones that dictate how good the food is cooked.

I saw the pic of Jollibees being #1? That's a joke right? Jollibees is near the bottom around here, people were excited when it first opened and then tried it and were not fans of the extremely low quality chicken and ketchup spaghetti.

I recall jolibees being complete trash a few decades ago. Tried it recently and it’s really good. I have a soft spot for churches, seems like the only place i can get okra, and the biscuits are great.
Churches used to have jalapeño poppers iirc

Canes an Zaxbys. Are best

Churches for an actual Fried chicken dinner.

Davea Hot is terrible either.

Hos ranking makes no sense. LJS at top and Canes at bottom? Only one the got right is Churches

I used to go to the Jollibee in Carson it's on carson st.

Yes it is still high quality it has like 1970s customer service still too. it doesn't have that nihilistic Gen Z customer service.
That’s it. I’m hitting it up next week. I just check and there are 2 locations! One is only 5 miles from me!!

I thought about picking up some church’s when I was out of state on vacation but was driving back home on a 9 hour drive and was too eager to get back home rather than stop. Those aren’t around where I live. Anyone here recommend them?

My first job was at Long John Silvers lol. I'm not sure if things have changed much since it's been 25+ years, but they were basically thinly breaded chicken fingers. The employee actually battered them before putting in fryer unlike a lot of fast food places. I liked them, but also shocked to see in the top.
Other places dont batter chicken before frying it?
