Media Fans are not happy with Izzy's behavior

It seems mild if you're uneducated or just can't be bothered caring that much.

It's a touchy issue (the genocide and slavery of tens of millions of people over hundreds of years).

But yeah, it's no big deal..

<YeahOKJen>
Lmaoooooo

Who sold all those slaves, lamb brain?

I'm far from indoctrinated.. it's not easy for me to accept the reality as a non-black person.. It's an uncomfortable thing to accept.

All things aren't equal until there's justice and equality.. which there isn't.
Bahahahahah oh I'm gonna follow you you're genuinely hilarious. Love me a good apologist bleeding heart leftard

Izzy always has a chip on his shoulder complaining about something.hes a tool

I found Izzys behavior gross but I understand the UFC doesn't have a code of conduct like other sports so fighters pull gross shit all the time because it sells.

He should have paid Chael Sonnen to ghostwrite his promo. There are plenty of more creative and less aggressively racist ways to make the same point.

"I thought you had more class than that"

How the hell did they get that impression?

I never said he was being racist. I said he implied he was more African than them

You are trying to gaslight me bro. Not cool

I mean DDP is just African, whereas Izzy is Kiwi African. He was born and raised in Africa and continues to live there, shouldn’t matter where his great ancestors are from.

I never had a problem with Izzy. Enjoyed some of his fights and not so much on others. I didn't even mind the antics with dance routines or even dry humping Costa. But that shit was just wrong. MMA is finally becoming mainstream, where I know plenty of wives and kids like watching too. There's just no room for that shit with kids watching and supposedly looking up to you as some kind of role model.

Basically, the shit didn't really bother me personally, but all I could think of was he's just turning people off to MMA in general with this race bating shit. I think Dricus was just being a troll with the whole "real Aftican" comment and Adesanya fed that troll an all-you-can eat buffet.

Lol, you calling me a "white apologist" shows how ignorant you are.. if anything I'm the opposite.

Follow away, you might learn something.

I'm a leftist, but not a new leftist, you probably wouldn't know the difference anyway.

DDP played into it from the start. Izzy went overboard. Dana and Hunter are ecstatic.

Reaching

If any other fighter says they want to be the first champ that comes from X or has done Y, it's no problem. But a white African automatically intends to start a race war if he he does the same.

And yet Izzy has 10's of thousands of people interacting with his posts

His online engagement is one the highest in the UFC

The interest for their potential fight is already incredibly high. And it will only grow once there is an official announcement

Hate him or love him you are paying attention

Adesanya is out here playing 4D chess while y'all playing tic-tac-toe
That's cool and all, but we're already watching the PPV's. Do you think that debacle gained Izzy any new fans?

News Flash: fans are not happy with DuPlessis’ remarks either.
That's even more embarrassing. He's very popular, he doesn't need to do any of this. Dricus said he will be the first Africa residing champion (nothing wrong with that because none of the African champions live in Africa) and mfer got obsessed with that and still tries to prove a point.
Is that all he said? I believe he insulted other African champs for no longer living in Africa, implying that their nationality is not as legitimate as his. I’m not sure if you realize how insulting that is to them. Ngannou lived in impoverished village as a child. Should he be faulted for not staying there? Izzy reminded us that it is about blackness and as an African born he has the right to bring blackness into it. Apartheid in South Africa only ended in the 1990’s. Do you realize how fucked up that is?

He never implied such a thing. He just explained the difference between him if he were to become a champ and the other African champs, and why that would make him the first of his kind. Overly sensitive and people indoctrinated with racist views just read too much into it.

Izzy and Colby playing to the same crowd, but instead of stroking their little dicks and laughing maniacally when Colby talks, they get outraged when Izzy does. Kind of hilarious if it wasn't so sad for the sport, turning into shitty ass pro wrestling fangirls' wet dream all the time instead of just fights.

The guy is a complete dickbag, but he knows what he's doing. People will buy these fights to see his ass get kicked, though I don't think DDP will be able to do it sadly.

Ya he did. And he’s been backpedaling and “clarifying”ever since. He didn’t just proclaim his nationality (which is fine), he made a point of slighting other African champs.

Being mindful of a country’s brutally racist history is being overly sensitive but getting upset at Izzy’s angry faceoff is not? Some of you really should read up on your South African history.

Did you really imply all of African is an improvised village?

DDP has a right to say what he did because being a champion of a place means living there. This is why sports have a home city, if they move, they no longer represented that city.

Do you not see the irony of your statement, saying Ngannou was from a shitty poor village so he had to get out?

How can he represent that village if he thought life was terrible in that village and needed to live else where?

Do you not understand the story behind someone that didn’t leave their country for better opportunities, but instead stayed, trained, and sought to improve there?

If you listen to DDP he wants to show that African has gyms/trainers that can produce world champions, do you not see the pride in hearing what he has to say?

Do you not see how Africa should be proud to produce a champion that was born, raised, and trained in Africa and fights out of Africa?

You would deny him this accomplishment on the color of his skin?
