Are you trying to say, "They've turned their back on him"
 
I can't remember demanding anything? And to be honest, there is so much jumping to conclusions going on that its hard to remember what is fact and what people are interpreting as fact

details in papers
- not a footballer
- cocaine used at hotel
-has a long-term partner and children (i.e. not married)
-in his 30's
-known for socialising in a big posse of nobodies (i.e.not other well known people) around Dublin

probably forgot some other ones

then the RTE leak and respected Times/Sunday Times articles about leak, no denial from McGregor (not shy on spouting normally) where for example speculated soccer player immediately went to instagram to deny it.

McGregor was on bender in Dublin on that weeked (in media) etc.

see I cant recall reading anything about the fact that he wasnt a rugby player, or that he was from dublin, and only one source claiming it was a world famous sports star and I was under the impression football is called soccer in Ireland. Nothing that even says this person is a current sportsperson. Is Conor the only sportsperson in Ireland who has kids and a longterm partner? Also, much of this was released by the press, interpreted from police statements and their own investigations. That does not count as fact. some press saying she went with star alone, some saying went back to a party. Its all very wishy washy
 
When did Conor postpone the Vegas hearing? When did this event happen?

not interpreted by police statements. the press have contacts in the police. the police made no real statements.
I used footballer there - not a Gaelic Footballer would have been the term for the other. if you say footballer it's understood as a soccer player. not being Irish you wouldn't have a clue of the nuances.

the victim was at hotel with others - confirmed in papers.

you're trying to muddy the waters by throwing in the whatsapp stuff.

all the stuff that I've mentioned has been in multiple newspapers.

you're trolling at this stage.
 
I appreciate that. But my grandfader was a dublin man so he was lol. I'd just rather stick to the facts personally and I don't read too much into the press, certainly not tabloids unless it can be checked against real police statements

the police aren't going to release a profile of the accused so I'm not sure what you expect to go on.

best leave the thread and come back after the eventual trial and conviction if there is one to ease your qualms about who it may be

As that it the only way you'll be at peace with a fact from the police or legal system as you say you will only accept as to who it may be as due to Irish laws on sexual assault cases that fact would only be revealed with a fully verdict .

I'm not questioning what you have read in the press, I'm questioning the validity of it, as much of it is contradictory, and I'm question whether the field of suspects is really so narrow as is being made out
 
and i am putting a big question mark over how its being interpreted in here i.e Irish sports star doesnt say dublin sports star, no mention of ruling out rugby players, well known irish sports star doesnt say international irish sports star etc etc
 
@Grapes or any other Irish or UK Sherdoggers reading this.

Are "The Irish Sun" and the "Irish Mirror" legitimate newspapers or are they tabloids? I want to know if they can be used as legitimate sources. Their websites give me a tabloid vibe.

The other sources for this story include "Irish Central", "Independent.ie", "The Times" and "The Irish Times". From what I can tell, these outlets look very legitimate but please correct me if I am mistaken. I am from the US and know absolutely nothing about the legitimacy of these outlets.
