Trash can be broken down into stuff for crafting weapons/armor and stronghold stuff.
And so can duplicates of useful stuff, which is nice.
Equipment outside of powerarmor doesn't degrade anymore either, so you never really need more than one of any piece of equipment.
Speaking of New Vegas, does anyone know if Hardcore mode will be making a return?
You mean weapons don't have durability anymore? I think they called it condition in previous games.
I ordered the Pip Boy Edition.
I'm wondering if it is really worth it, I might be cheeky and just get another standard copy stick the Pip Boy version on ebay and flip it for a profit. <_<
I haven't decided yet, but I will be tracking the demand when the time comes.
Right. Personally I'm kind of relieved. It always felt a little weird carrying around five hunting rifles at the same time just to make repairs.

The endurance SPECIAL -video hinted that there could be some form of "primary needs" system. Or that at least that eating and drinking would be somehow mandatory.
I bet you can fully heal by sleeping one hour again too.

So, without watching hours of video, can someone answer a couple of question for me.
I love The Elder Scroll games, and people say that the Fallout series is great. I've never played them. I'm wondering how varied the environments are in them. That's one of the things I love about TES, is how diverse the maps are (save for repetitive dungeons), but the wasteland setting makes me a bit apprehensive.
It's one of the reasons I have fallen out of love with Mad Max right now. A giant sand wasteland got boring to me. Am I going to do the same with Fallout if I buy it?
I played FO3 right after Skyrim and absolutely loved the atmosphere of the wasteland. I also thought I would hate it. It looks desolate and boring but wandering the wasteland was one of my best ever memories from a video game. Like Skyrim, the music and production make you want to explore what's over the next hill. For me, they really captured the dread and solitude you would experience in a post-apocalyptic world.
Stepping out of the vault for the first time is a moment most players never forget.
the trailer is beautiful..
cdkeys.com is legit right? Fallout 4 is 39.99. I'll be able to register it with Steam?
I have never heard of it and my first instinct would be no, I'll see if I can find anything about them though
Edit: Sounds shady, I wouldn't touch it

I've already watched it three times
To be honest I actually didn't like FO3 all that much and part of the reason was what CPA was talking about. There is a lot of wall paper and clip art thrown around in that game, and most of the dungeons feel very "samey", and it's really easy to get lost inside sections of DC or multifloored buildings in that game. Adding that to the the easy street gameplay of FO3 and the fact that there really wasn't much in the way of RPG elements like there was in NV, I just didn't feel like FO3 was all that good. I forgive them some though because it was a massive undertaking to adapt and old 2d fan favorite to an Elder Scrolls style game
All that said CPA, I honestly say that FO3 is pretty skippable today. If you want to try a game out before FO4 comes out just get New Vegas.
Actually if you read the whole thread, most say it's legit. No one reported that they had a bad experience. Just a couple people saying "No don't do it, they are stolen" but no proof to back it up. If it registers on Steam seems like it'd be fine, no?
It's the age old debate, I know, but FONV was a skippable soap opera while FO3 is a mandatory experience if you like Elder Scrolls. :icon_chee
Hope that's an early build. Doesn't look much better than Skyrim did.
I think it looks much better than Skyrim. I kind of surprised by the negative comments about the graphics. I thought it looked great.
Fallout 3 was a melodramatic, lore-breaking mess of grey & brown textures and black & white choices. Fallout New Vegas is one of the best role-playing games of it's generation.
Still, I loved them both.
