Fabricio Werdum is "done. You'll never see him in the UFC again" - Ali

Werdum vs. DC would be a great matchup.... Not sure DC would fair any better than Cain did.

"Now Fabricio’s 41. After his suspension ends and he comes back, he’ll be 43. What is he going to do? If they open a senior league, we’ll wait."

The idea of tren in a fucking Wal-Mart supplement is so ridiculous, jfc.

I think Werdum is the best HW in the UFC right now, even at 41. Too bad if they have to let him go.

nah, Werdum never once dominated the HW division, he had a lot of great wins scattered between some really disappointing losses. For sure one of the best, but he's not even above Big Nog as far as best HWs of all time.

With that said, kind of hope Ali is right. If he is suspended for 2 years and he'll basically be too old by then, hopefully the UFC lets him go to go compete in Russia or Japan. I think the Volkov fight was enough to show me that Werdum is no longer going to be a title challenger (maybe he is, HW sucks lol)
He can probably go to Russia anyway but he will probably be banned from fighting outside of eastern europe forever. I'm not sure if Japan will take a guy still under contract UFC. Prob not.

No doubt Colby ended his UFC career. He's scared of running into Colby again now he can't get the jump on him by surprise attacks with a weapon.

I'm listening to Novitsky on Rogan's podcast right now and this whole thing just sounds fucking ridiculous.
If you can find all of these banned substances in over the counter shit like creatine and natural diuretics that you can buy at Wal-mart, then what is the point?

A 2 year ban can completely derail or end a career in the fight game.
I have a hard time believing that Werdum intentionally took roids, and guys like Machida? And isn't Rothwell still out for some substance?
Mir...Barnett...careers KO'd left and right.
USADA is ruining the sport.
I'm for drug testing, but fuck, there has to be a smarter system than this.

A smarter? What about a fairer system as well? Suspending Mir for 60 picograms and not jones? That shit aint fair. Mir was pulsating as well

I'm still a fan of USDA, if you're cheating you should be caught & giving appropriate bans. However there needs to be a level playing field with everyone getting the same punishments regardless of how much money you draw the company.

And USDA need authorised supplements etc, if a fighter fails a test because he took something not on their list & its tainted then that's on the fighter & the failed test stands.

As for Werdum, he's going nowhere. We've seen other fighters try similar stances, but he's still under contract & no reason for the UFC to let him go off & fight elsewhere. Bad for their business, plus bad for their relationship with the regulation boards.

People are so naive.

We need to get free from this popular opinion that you're not on steroids unless you're shredded with bulging veins.

Furthermore, there is a reason why you flag hot, and it is because there are traces of performance enhancing drugs in your body, end of discussion.

He can probably go to Russia anyway but he will probably be banned from fighting outside of eastern europe forever. I'm not sure if Japan will take a guy still under contract UFC. Prob not.

Why wouldn’t they? The contracts aren’t valid in Japan

Werdum vs. DC would be a great matchup.... Not sure DC would fair any better than Cain did.

Wouldn't say its really idenitical though, I think DC does have more solid boxing defence than Cain plus a better chin but equally you could say he's also more vulnerable than Cain to knees and kicks.

Big issue though I'd say is that Werdum has dropped off more since that point as well.

What an incredibly stupid statement. Werdum is a cheater like most others and he got caught. Own up to your “mistake” and move on. USADA is likely corrupt but not in FRAMING fighters. This Ali manager is a piece of shit and anyone who employs him should reconsider.

Werdum has been a great addition to the UFC HW division, one of the best but not the best. A bit too cocky and it was nice seeing him lose. I hope he remains in the UFC but if not, fuck off to another org where you won’t be tested as thoroughly so you can continue taking PEDs and deliver some nice KOs or subs (or get knocked out).

“Fabricio Werdum’s next fight is probably going to be in Russia. USADA needs to do what they need to do. Fabricio has a family, he has children, he has kids — he’s gotta do what he’s gotta do, because USADA, that’s a broken system. At the end of the day, I know the UFC is with USADA, but I believe USADA is now hurting the UFC. They’re not helping.”

“I think Fabricio’s done. You’ll never see him in the UFC again. … They need to do what they need to do, but at the end of the day, Fabricio has to do whatever he needs to do for his family. I know Dana’s tough, but these guys have hearts. They understand this is his only source of income. Now Fabricio’s 41. After his suspension ends and he comes back, he’ll be 43. What is he going to do? If they open a senior league, we’ll wait. But Fabricio Werdum did not cheat, you understand? How stupid are you to cheat at 41 years old?"

Dude has a legit claim to HW GOAT imo.

I am a big fan of Werdum but what he needed to do was keep PEDs out of his body and test clean.

It’s funny how these fighters ask for a release from the company they are contracted to fight for and head over seas and act like the victim.

It’s like if you lost your job for drinking and driving. Is it really your company‘s fault “ that you have a family” Or is it your fault for failing the test?

I do agree with people have to support their family, and do what they have to do, but I do not agree with acting victimized because it’s your fault
