Some try to use Barbie or Wicked as evidence "go woke, go broke" is false.

The issue here is they didn't "go woke". They were always "woke projects" or attached to IPs that would align with people who are into very feminine products and vehicles already.

"Go woke, go broke" means taking things that are often male dominated or have no place for wokeness and identity politics and trying to insert those things.

You take Barbie or wicked, you already have concepts and ideas heavily aligned to that kind of thinking. You aren't taking strong male characters and IPs and fucking them up

That's why Disney star wars, Marvel and Indiana Jones etc are failing where Barbie and Wicked are not. They were always intended to appeal to different demographics. But trying to make the latter the former, "going woke", will cause you to hemorrhage money.
