Yep, out of how many people incarcerated? A few things:
Sure, rape happens, but it's also frowned upon by a lot of inmates. Most people who get done up the ass in prison are "punks" and/or ladyboys. And despite the notion of "Bubba" the big black man, from what I understand white supremecists have the rep as being "baby fuckers". Also consider the fact that such an act of violence if reported (although it's often not) will usually result in a full lockdown. If assraping was as common as ya'll think, prisons would be in lockdown all fucking year. Also remember that the majority of criminals are in prison for non-violent crimes, and while they're more likely to become violent in a correctional facility, they aren't predatory in nature like say a man who's made a career out of armed/strong arm robbery.
