Exercise DVDs are shocking cheap.

Wow sexxxxyyy

Oz Aerobics is the only exercise show/dvd I'd want/buy. It was a little treat if you woke up too early for morning cartoons back in the 1990s

This was quickly transformed into the Best. Thread. Ever.

So he teaches the correct way of doing exercises. His focus is longevity. I learnt the correct way of doing the bench press from him lol yes there is a wrong way of doing bench press. He’s like a Physio guy kindve..

I think the hate he gets is jealousy because he’s so legit and he’s really got the ppl locked in on him.
I think he is a good as a physical therapist but a little iffy when it comes to training. I do like some of his stuff when it comes to injury prevention or working out with an injury. I don't have experience with his paid programs so I was wondering if they are different or not vs stuff he puts out for free.

I have a honest critique about him. His content is marketed for beginners but it isn't optimal for beginners. If you are intermediate level then the stuff he shows is kind of redundant. He always has these videos like so and so is killing your gains. He will flip flop on the issue every so often a few months down the line. I get why he needs to make these videos because these type of video titles are what will capture the eyes of new viewers. They want to learn the secret method and avoid killing their gains blah blah. Other youtubers like Ryan Humiston do stuff like that. The thing I didn't quite understand was the whole fake weights scandal. He is a DPT by trade? He doesn't need to use fake weights for a demo.

Everyone markets to beginners.

As for 'its not optimal for beginners,' perhaps he goes too far into detail and is practically information overload but its to prevent beginners from developing bad habits based on inexperience.

I'm not questioning your integrity but I'm going to have to see examples of him giving advice in 'A' video and later contradicting it later in 'B' video.

Not saying it hasn't happened, but I've watched hundreds of his videos over the years (but spread out over the years) and I don't recall any contradiction.

Also, when you keep in mind he's made thousands of videos over multiple channels over the last decade... one or two mistakes could have seeped through the cracks.

They have compilations of him contradicting himself. You can honestly look and choose one.

Some of his advice is pretty bad especially on squats. He wants you to breath out when you squat. That isn't bracing. You will get injured doing that. This screenshot is from one more popular videos with over 3 million views. He also promoted 70-80% of 1 rep max 10 reps for 10 sets with 1 min rest for weight loss. It's honestly not a good recommendation for beginners. Maybe unless they underestimate their true 1RM. I would have to say that it is highly unlikely advance lifters are capable of doing that especially at the 80%.

Nobody owns a DVD player anymore. I will be surprised if anyone's modern PC even has a CD/DVD slot.

A lot of these oldie programs aren't really optimal. P90x if I remember correctly has you doing 7 a day workouts. You might as well just find a better program and individualize it for yourself.

Got a dvd player sir.

I’d recommend picking up some stretching vids/dvds like stretching scientifically. Last I looked a lot of them were still expensive but if the Tv you bought had a usb port you can download them for free from the unusual spot. Even if you’re not thinking of getting back into/starting stand up training the stretching for high kick stuff is great. Personally I think flexibility it overlooked far too much when it comes to fitness, especially as some of us get older. Good luck Sherbro. Home gyms for the win!

Used to love cheap p0rn dvds. going to the shithoel part of town, praving the dirty people in the p0rnstore and looking through bins of dvds was awesome

internets just made it too damn easy

I guess this category of product has moved online now, with influencers / gurus selling online programs and people spending hundreds on that instead. It's pretty smart to sweep up and get the old DVDs for cheap.

As a horny teen I used to watch this back in the 80s. Bess Motta, the lead performer with the big hair, was also in Terminator and played Sarah's roommate and co-worker.
