and as the only developed nation in the world without free health care, with an industry that thrives on putting profit over peoples lives, i don't think much will ever change in that department. people getting injured, sick and dying makes alot of executives too much money to want to give up.

the conservatives have long since groomed a good half of their fellow countrymen into believing that any improvement to health care that would benefit their lives is bad, is equal to communism and socialism and whatever else they have been conditioned into believing is the devil, and any improvement to the health care system, especially free universal health insurance should not be tolerated under any circumstance. the better way to handle it is to elect a fraudster and rapist into office to double up grandma's health insurance premiums to the point where she can't even afford to get sick anymore and she'll have to cook meth in a trailer and become a drug lord just to keep on surviving through her golden years.

I don't think the country will break up but continue to transform into a neo feudalism. It's going to be a puppy mill where the born powerful pick out the attractive mutants that pop up and the best athletes breed like crazy. Either you'll be born a genetic outlier or rich or you'll be working poor never truly owning anything. Poor will be aimed at poor to stop any unity, one cultural war after another will be invented all to distract and enrage poor people at others. And it will go on and on until the both rich become so inbred and distant from the 99.99% and a new invention pops up and the cycle starts again. That's about 400-500 years off. Nothing is changing fast in our lifetime anymore. It will be just refinements of preexisting technology marketed as new like which is using basically the same technology from 60 years ago.

I was disappointed to see Peter Attia on the ever growing Epstein list. I can recall reading his articles 10 years ago or about with interest. I believe he was a former oncologist that came to not believe in how oncology is practiced and so he reinvented himself, teaching others about diet ideas to stay healthy, prevent diseases. I guess later he went more into anti aging. I'm not so familiar with the anti aging stuff he taught. I'm sure it is good stuff though. He liked details i recall.

Well disapointing. Everyone makes mistakes, but emailing and interacting often with one of the biggest cancers on society, Epstein, is a tough one to overcome. Glad to see he is repentant for what happened.

That would come off as preposterous to most people who care about a bunch of goofy ass shit, but the Chips & Science Act and Infrastructure Investment & Jobs Act were serious, genuinely consequential pieces of legislation and a massive boon for America. These both cleared the Senate with well over 60+ votes; they weren't bullshit Recon regressive tax cuts jammed through with a simple majority. The border was not secure for the first three years of his Admin, and I don't know why. In 2024, things notably tightened up during the election year.

I was less enthusiastic and more skeptical about the American Rescue Plan and Inflation Reduction Act. Unlike the two aforementioned laws, those were pushed through along strictly partisan lines with simple majorities via reconciliation. His brain was clearly fried during the last two years, but it was essentially moot after the GOP regained control of the House in the midterms. I've just decided to no longer speak about immigration, but yeah, it's totally fucked.

He actually is telling us who he is with this post. He’s a nepo baby. It’s got all the classic hallmarks of a nepo trying to prove they are actually super special.

Look at how he talks about knowing the law and how lawyers work for him. He wants us to believe he was on tack for to law school but he can’t construct proper arguments.
