I'm not so sure about that. I think there's evidence to plausibly suggest people in the Justice Department, particuarly in Florida, were coveringt things up. See my earlier post about the first time Epstein was arrested. 60 charges against him went poof and instead he served 12 months of a 18 month sentence during which he was allowed to go to work each day.

Does this sound like something Bush or Obama would have been briefed about?

I can't see why any president would necessarily be briefed about such a thing. That first case agaist Epstein was done and dusted before Obama even took office. After that, accusations from victims surfaced here and there but I still don't think it would be anything that would necessitate Obama becoming involved.

Further, during Biden's term, investigations into Epstein's finances were ongoing, and it's at least plausible to suggest they didn't want to compromise them by making a public show of what they had--not saying I agree with that decision but there is some justification for it, however flimsy it may be.
