There's no question the animal with one blow can kill a man. But he can't kill a group. Once the group together has decided that the price of success is that 2 or 3 will be killed in violent fashion, they accept these consequences and act with one mind. Testosterone will supply the violent instincts necessary to subdue and maim the animal.

A gorilla has the strength of 10 men combined. Even if they all magically exerted full force on the gorilla at the same time it is only equal to what the gorilla could do and that's impossible.

"Trained fighters" you say that as if trained fighters have knowledge of silverbacks or fighting wildlife. Clinching a gorilla against the fence isn't a tactic. You'd be better off with 10 wildlife experts who know animal behaviour.

The 10 fighters couldn't hurt the gorilla in the slightest and the gorilla would likely pick the alpha of the 10 and rip it's head off before ripping the other guys who are terrified limb from limb. Also the gorilla can use it's feet like arms and has massive fangs.
