Elon Musk Agrees to $44b Deal for Twitter

No I have a lot of friends across multiple platform and they are running to bluesky they only want streaming on the platform and they are gone for good on Instagram and threads. Threads not that popular with them ether but the only other alterative before bluesky wide openned up.

Yea good luck with that. 22 million vs 600 million users.

Plus Twitter is global.

I've never understood remaking the same platform/idea but with different moderating and assuming it will end better. I don't see how any of these platforms attack moderating:
  1. Volume of data
  2. Positive vs negative bubbles
and not just result in some machine learned algorithm that comes out marginally (at best) better than Twitter/enough so that people will migrate over. None of the stuff I've heard about from Parler, Truth Social, Threads, Mastadon, Blueskye, and whatever else is next seems like a real differentiator. The only selling point is the correct amount of censorship towards the correct thing to censor.

Rob Reiner sucks and has lived up to his portrayal in South Park, but he seems to have the right idea of just leaving altogether instead of finding an alternative.

Bluesky will have the ability to integrate with Twitter anyway. So essentially most of the posts on Bluesky will be posted on Twitter.

Plus their revenue model will cause them to fail. They're not going to do ads, meaning they'll rely on people buying special add on features. Yea not looking good.

You know things are not all peachy at Elon Musk world one of his strongest supporters a guy who held on to his stock thick and thin just announced he "in his friendliest terms possible" is reducing his exposer to holding Tesla shares.
"
Leo KoGuan, one of Tesla Inc.’s largest individual shareholders, said he’s paring his stake in the automaker and “No longer all-in on Tesla,” the billionaire said". 3 or 4th largest shareholder of Tesla and also Ron Baron another always sunny in Tesla share world has been talking about reducing his holdings in Tesla while Warren Buffett continues to be disinterested in having anything to do with Tesla stock. One of the most major traders have told his biggest traders to cut Tesla ownership shares.

Nothing to see here another group of people dead in a Tesla product. Turns out your twice a likely to get killed in a Tesla product they any other car company, Now tell me about this autonomous taxis business?

"
  • The NHTSA is gathering info on a Cybertruck crash that killed three college students in California.
  • The crash is the second fatal Cybertruck incident in the US, following one in Texas.
  • Tesla's Cybertruck has faced multiple recalls and 21 NHTSA complaints since launching.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is probing a Cybertruck crash that killed three college students last month in California.

"NHTSA is aware of the crash and is gathering information from the manufacturer and law enforcement," a spokesperson for the agency told Business Insider, adding that an investigation hasn't been opened yet."

Wow, if he acquired tik-tok too, the libs would be in even more utter and complete meltdown. You love to see it

Well it would completely contradict the "China Joe!" claims by the russian posters on this board if they were onboard Elon, who's already in Beijings pocket, to buy tiktok.

So I guess if you mean all of us laughing at you = a complete meltdown, well then I suppose so.

get er' done china elon, right? why stop at tiktok? why not also sell off all the telecom and internet providers to china just to own the libs? whatever it takes to cater to china's interests, that way the self-proclaimed tough on russia party will soon start fawning over winnie the pooh the way they do for big daddy vladdy ever since their rapist messiah started sucking him off.
