Not too many people are fond of him even before he became President. I'm talking about people who have worked for or with him. He has an unsavory personality to begin with, and his leadership skills are all about focusing on his ability to get things to happen through bullying and frivolous lawsuits. Most of his family can't stand him, and I'm not talking about the ones waiting for him to croak so they can inherit his wealth, but the ones who grew up with him as extended members of the family. But then he became a candidate for the Republican Presidential nomination. After months of insulting other candidates and their wives, and then boasting about how he likes to grab women by the genitals without their express consent, he went on to become President where he continued to insult people including former presidential nominees who were suffering from terminal cancer, gold star veterans and their grieving parents, and even mocked a handicapped man. Then he separated children from their parents at the border and detained them in cages. Then he tried to take away millions of people's health care without telling them what they would get in return. His economy was boosted with tax cuts and deregulation but the rising deficits meant there was little to no rainy day fund when the pandemic hit. And then the pandemic hit. And it has been an even bigger giant mess. He hasn't attended a covid meeting in how long now? He has spent way more time on the golf course than he has trying to get a handle on something that is killing about 2 to 3 thousand Americans each day. His best answer on the matter was "it is what it is"

That's right, Mr. President. It is what it is. And the results of the 2020 election are also what they are. The American people had a taste of you and spit you back out.

I'm reading Mary Trump's book and in it is a testimony of just how he doesn't jive with others who had to live with him. And then it got me thinking about how many members of his extended family are vouching for him. Melania won't even hold his hand. I guess cheating on her with a porn star will create that kind of animosity.

The guy is a NYC builder indeed who has burned a lot of bridges. There is enough dirt on him that isn't hard to find, about not paying subcontractors and them losing their livelihoods, to know what kind of person he is. Not owning up to your part of the deal after the work is done and then litigating them into bankruptcy over disputes is the lowest form of business handling and morally corrupt behavior you can imagine. About the things that are verifiable and in relation to things he has said and done in public that is far more important to his political legacy and why he lost the election. People are tired of having a loudmouthed egocentric wannabe mob boss as the President, and so they voted him out. And you and Trump's cronies are 1-62 in court trying to prove that he didn't (well not you personally but I mean his supporters).
