The Congress plays a role in deciding the presidency when the states are split and no one wins a majority of electoral votes. Pretty much this with one exception. The states have until Jan 1 to change their electoral votes by law. Once that deadline has passed this entire farce about Pence and others stealing the election goes away. Funny enough it coincides with the Georgia runoff. Perfect timing because they won't need to use the election was stolen lie anymore to further their agenda.

i have no problem accepting defeat if like you say claims are verified and turn to be false.

They will still try on the 6th as it looks like the GOP will get one House Member and Senator to challenge the results in each of the swing states and try to nullify them so no candidate gets to 270. Dems control the House so no way this goes through as it has to be passed in both sections of Congress. It will be interesting to see what way McConnell and the GOP vote in this though. A few including Mitch have already publicly stated that Joe is the President Elect.

Perfect, as it should be. Have you accepted that all of the Trump lawsuits so far have been dismissed on standing and merits?

the courts dismissed the vast majority of them on standing, because it’s outside their jurisdiction, or so they claim. it’s somewhat true as it’s the duty of Congress to solve any election disputes.

Yes and court cases were also dismissed on merit as well, correct?

I can't take this stuff too seriously. Here in GA the Trump lawyers claimed dead people voted. They seemed mystified that somebody might have the same name and birthday as somebody who is dead. It was awkward when the local station interviewed the dead lady. Similarly, an expert testified before the GA Senate claiming lots of illegal votes. One of the Senators went through the list before the hearing and identified several people on the list from her jurisdiction, including a neighbor, who had voted legally. The guy who made the NV claims says there may be false positives which means he did not confirm the accuracy of the list. Maybe there was widespread fraud but half-assed, error-ridden, poorly vetted lists aren't going to convince me.

correct me if I’m wrong, but Pence can submit both slates of electors. senate picks the GOP electors, House like you say picks the state governor’s set of electors are Dem electors. it’s a deadlock, legislatures vs executives. what happens then?

No, he can't. They are not certified by the state. It is no different than a group of people selecting electors. Only electors certified by the state can be presented to Pence. Read the Electoral Count Act of 1887. It was designed for this very situation. All Pence can do is read the electors that were certified by the state. Now, in other years, states have sent to two sets of electors, both certified, to be counted. That is where Congress gets involved in disputing that situation. As it stands right now, only one set of electors was sent to COngress.

In Nevada they used social security checks and didn’t go by name alone to conclude that 1500 dead voters cast a vote in NV

There are GOP senators who would side with Biden.
