Well he did for being the first boss of the dlc while Messmer was at least halfway through. Yeah Bayle is up there too. Huge healht bar, never stops attacking and there are too few openings to counter.
 
Found a great guide for scadutree fragments. He gets to the point, with clear pathways. I've been around +14 or so for a long time, missing a bunch from hidden lesser Hippo bosses, statues I've been to but didn't look behind, and shadow guys who hold pots (didn't even know they held them). You have to kill the latter before they smash the pots, or rest again at a bonfire.

I found a bunch with his help. You'll need to already know where the sites of grace are he references, but if you're near the end like me and have explored as much as I have, this will help navigate locations you probably easily missed, also like I did.

 
Never thought of Ela as one of the best Souls streamers but this is impressive. I watched him attempt it on and off for like four days in a row.

Final boss, RL1, nothing special, just poking him til he dies.

I watched some of that run too. No idea how he managed to pull off phase 2.
 
I almost bought the DLC. I'm so far away from accessing the new zone that I bought Helldivers 2 instead. I'll get the DLC on the next purchase
 
Got Final Boss to one hit from death and the frame rate dropped to like one potato per second, leading to me dying in a whirlwind of unintelligible lights.
I am devastated.

steam deck users are also reporting this. all they can do is hold block and pray for the best.
 
What is the red stuff that randomly shoots up to my character and surrounds him for a second while I'm riding around?
 
i thought the golden hippo was a cheap motherfucker but i've spent the last hour or two getting pounded by messmer with no lube. we're talking a full-on pink sock over here boys.

i want to keep going but knowing me if i just stop playing until tomorrow i'll have him down on the first try or some shit.

this is some top shelf bullshit right here. very rage inducing.
 
Phase two is insane. I love how if you get clipped by any of the spells it delays your roll just enough that you get hit by the entire combo afterwards.
 
And I can't figure out what to do after the meteor shower when he follows up with his five clones attack.

Just preordered the third book. The first two are amazing as is everything Future Press makes. Building up quite the collection at this point.
