No Spoilers Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC

scadutree avatar also down. finally. been at it for over an hour now even with my mimic cheese. jesus fucking christ i've been given nothing but stress and grief from those 3 bosses.around the shadow keep. i'm worried that radahn might make my head explode. i dont know how much of this constant bullshit i can take. the bosses in the normal game are fucking pushovers compared to these dlc bosses.

Hands - Oathseeker
Legs - Oathseeker
Weapons - Messmer Soldier Great Spear & Wolf Crest Shield

that was my most brutal encounter in this whole damn game. by far. whoever designed that boss fight needs to be castrated. fuck that guy.

probably the most bullshit encounter i can recall out of any souls games so far. screw that guy.

had to mimic cheese commander giaus. now i'm at the erdtree avatar and i'm getting fucked hard. almost ready to rage quit.

ancient dragon sessanax and bayle down. that was some more serious bullshit. spent the better part of the night dealing with their grief. cheap fucking sons of bitches. couldn't even see what the hell was going on around me in the bayle fight. couldnt even evade most of the attacks either. the sessanax one is every bit as much bullshit. this dlc is bullshit. even that NPC guy i summoned to fight bayle was bullshit. all he did was distract me with his voice dialogue bullshit while i was busy dealing with bayle's bullshit and all of the other bullshit going on in the area around me. this is all bullshit!

Radahn killed me and a second after my mimic defeated him, just before the fade to black death screen the remembrance window popped up. Respawned at grace and Radahn was gone. I laughed so hard
 
I managed to kill Radahn yesterday finally, had to no hit the first phase (which isn't too hard beside that one move with the two consecutive horizontal slashes, had to get lucky with that one) to use all of the flasks in the second.
What a fucking nightmare, he's got way too much health and I can't even see what's going on a lot of the time.

Managed to solo him but I'm using Moonveil so still n00b stuff.

Think it would have been a lot easier with a greatshield but I don't really want to respec the character.
 
Ok, fired thru and got into the DLC.

I forget what it's called that I found, but its something to make your damage higher and damage taken lower in the shadow realm.

Is this similar to a great rune? Can I use it, die, find another, use another, and i now have 2 enhancements only in the shadow realm?

Obviously, still trained under the the idea of never using items cuz 'I'll need it later. '

Hoping that is being realized now..

Rest at a grace point and scroll down to Scadutree blessing to cash them in, similar to how you would golden seeds. The more of the Scadutree fragments you collect the more you can increase your blessing level which increases your damage and defence in the shadow realm. They’re critical to being able to hang in the DLC otherwise you’re going to get your ass kicked. There are 50 fragments scattered around the dlc which if you find them all will get your blessing level to 20.
 
So the finger ruins areas are just a whole lot of nothing? Why is summons available? Also, those have to be the most annoying enemies in the game.

There's a horn you have to blow in each of the finger areas as part of a quest and secret boss

I dunno. It's maxed out and I've been using it the whole game. I don't really mind the length of the fight if I can figure out how to dodge all the bs magic in phase two but just not seeing it yet.
 
Stuck on Radahn for four days. Might have to break down and give the shield/poke method a go.

This is definitely over the top, they dropped the ball on the finale…just like the base game…ooof
