God damn Abyssal Woods.
Hey kids, remember Winter Lanterns?! They’re back! And this time they’re invincible and we don’t give you sedatives! Fun, amirite?
I liked the area as it reminded me of Bloodborne'e eerie atmosphere. Midra's mansion was cool to explore and I really liked him as a boss.
Like much of the DLC though, outside the mansion/dungeon, boss and some loot, there's not much to do/find in the woods.
I feel like they could have done so much more in that area!
In a game that’s about summoning Ashes and other players, soloing bosses is handicapping yourself. It’s basically a challenge run if you’re not utilizing basic game play mechanics. The bosses are clearly tuned around having multiple people in the arena.
I’ve come to accept it’s a different type of game.
This is definitely the case, but they often made it a challenge to bring helpers in.
I'm at Radahn now and man it's not easy to call your mimic in. After dying a bunch of times, I found out you can summon a couple of NPC's. I don't know how I'll have time to do that lol. My scadutree is at +15 now, so I should probably find the rest of them.
It's cool to see Radahn at his peak, dude is a beast! What a bitch he is in phase 2 though!
Imagine seeing that monster on the battlefield! I really want to see that in an anime, hell even a live adaption if they can do it justice.
George RR Martin posted this on blog the other day, not sure if anyone discussed this here.
“Oh, and about those rumors you may have heard about a feature film or television series based on Elden Ring… I have nothing to say,” he said. “Not a word, nope, not a thing, I know nothing, you never heard a peep from me, mum mum mum. What rumor?”
Hot on the heels of the release of DLC Shadow of the Erdtree, George R. R. Martin has teased an Elden Ring movie or TV show.
