^exactly. Holding out for a better deal makes sense ... until it doesn't. UFC doesn't have to cave into Eddie's demands for a new contract cuz you're right - if they can't make Poirer-Alvarez
they'll gladly find someone else to step in Eddie's place. And Kevin Lee is a great option. As for Nate Diaz, I read he was in talks to fight in August ... and he's been called out by Alvarez & Lee to name two fighters -but I'll believe it when I see it. Lee is a tough match up for Nate, while I'm not so sure Nate would consider Eddie high profile enough a name
real bummer to see Alvarez sitting out after an awesome performance in December. I don't necessarily think he's "afraid" of Dustin, but it would be a risky fight to take, as his last under contract.
shame cuz the Dustin-Alvarez winner would probably be next in line to challenge for the belt.
