Wilder was a novice dominating lifelong boxers. Stop acting as if the talent pools overlap 1-1. It’s fucking stupid on both sides. The skills needed aren’t identical. Being great at boxing doesn’t mean you’d be great at mma and vice versa.
You are purposely and disingenuously missing the point.
Wilder is a boxing novice, but has OTHERWORLDLY punching power. This factor alone allows him to knock out some of the lesser boxers, but isn't enough vs the elite (Fury).
Thanks for proving my point about GENETIC POTENTIAL that boxing siphons. Wilder is a 6'7 rangy, extremely durable and athletic fighter with comic book punching power. THIS is what it takes to be competitive in boxing.
In comparison, Ngannou a framecel, small clavicle, 6'5 manlet and is an absolute boxing novice, that became an MMA champ based of the most bare bone boxing skill, minimal grappling experience, and just decent power. You simply don't need to have much to be an MMA HW Champ.
Being even BELOW AVERAGE in boxing has proven time and time again to translate to MMA Champ material. This is undisputed FACT.
Mcgregor was a failed boxing from Ireland who transitioned to MMA to dominate.
Ngannou was literally a BUM trying to break into the boxing scene but, by his own word, took up MMA because it was easier and resulted in faster (albeit far, far, far lower) payday.
