i believe the announcers said that Davila wanted to compete at EBI and Danaher wouldn't allow it, so Davila left Renzo Academy to compete at the tournament. After the match, the announcer mentioned that Davila went to shake Danaher's hand but Danaher wouldn't.

I'm skeptical about that being the full story. Renzo guys have competed against each other in EBI in the past.
