Dyson vacuums

Funny you mention dyson. My vax vaccuum cleaner just broke down last week and i remembered i had picked up a dyson animal that someone had thrown out ages ago and i had stashed it in a mates garage. So i dug it out took it home and first thing i did was replace the fuse. Bingo! Nice cheeky wee dyson for sweet fuck all.

I gotta admit, they look pretty cool. Sci fi alien-ish tech cool. But yeah $500+ bucks on a vacuum is retarded. A former co-worker blew her month's paycheck on it and months down the line was pissed it didn't "suck good" enough. She wasn't exactly made of money either.
Your coworker is a tard.

I have the cordless and it conks out on me when the filter is dirty.

I have a Shark Navigator.

Costs less and works great on hardwood /laminate floors.

Dyson is overpriced and heavily marketed, IMO.

Edit: just read about the shedding dog. I, too, have a dog that sheds (husky.) This Shark works great for that. That's actually why I bought it, in fact.
I have three dogs and I had a cat who passed away recently, but all those fuckers shed and this is what I have.

Awesome suction attachments. A must buy for any basement dwelling, online white knight sherdoggers. Paste your favorite hot girl on there, swap to suction attachment, and hot date tonight.

I have owned a few of the uprights and currently use the Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal Plus Allergy. It's their top of the line product.

They work really well. Obviously there are some marketing and design tactics at play to make people want the vacuums more, but they really great products. I really like how you can switch form vacuuming carpet to hard floors effectively. Check out the pages on Amazon. Vacuums like the Hoover Windtunnel Air and the Shark are cheaper alternatives that work pretty well, but their filtering systems are less efficient. You'll end up having to clean and replace the filters more often.

I've had this bad boy for two years and I love it
I got two short hair dogs and it still pulls up crazy amounts of hair from the carpet and couch

Sorry to hear about your cat.

Sweet vacuum, though, right?
Thank you, but she was old and lived a good life.

And yes, it's great. Without actually seeing my dogs, you'd never know I had any. The furniture tool is tremendous and it works well in cars too.

Any of you bro's have one of these? It puts the power of an upright in the palms of your hands!

you all sound poor.. central vacuum system ftw :)
My home had one when I was growing up. Pain in the ass having to switch ports all the time. I feel like having a live-in guatamalan is the only ay to truly sound not poor in this thread.

Thats pretty much what I thought when she mentioned it. Makes less than 35k a year, and she blew it on a Dyson assuming insane price = top tier quality

I'm too big of a slob for a roomba. I feel like the poor thing would bump into the umpteenth pair of discarded socks and just be like "I give up."
