Reasonable post. Agreed. Jones is a scumbag, and I'd love to see him get crushed by a legitimate heavyweight but I don't at all blame him for "ducking" - he's old and shopworn after dominating the second heaviest division for a decade, he's in the late autumn of his career. These are the extras reel fights, now. Jon's trying to rack up a trumped up claim to have beaten the best HW, which we all know is absolute bullshit, but what can you expect? of course he'd want to ride off into the sunset being able to make that claim, and as you point out we can't reasonably demand that he fight his way through the ranks at HW no matter how much we might wish to see his head bounce off the canvas.

It's just nuts that the UFC are giving him this opportunity, fucking up the whole HW division to do so.
