I lurk on some sites and the level of hate for Dricus, is just astonishing. The mocking, making fun and the fact that he is widely considered as a 'fluke', there are Khamzat fan sites that say, Khamzat is going to beat the gay sh*t out of the man coach loving guy. Khamzat himself made fun of it. The whole coach kissing thing has been blown out of proportion that homophobic people are coming out of the woodworks by making homophobic remarks against Dricus. Definitely, sad and sometimes, sickening to see such personal things are being used as a means to dislike a champion.

Yeah, I have never seen such obsessed fans in MMA. Khamzat's fanbase is HUGE especially in the Middle East/Europe/Eastern Europe etc. Khamzat fans are next level. I think we will see similar pattern in Chicago where everyone would be cheering for Khamzat and Dricus would be boo'ed.

They do this with all Muslim fighters. I've seen a ton of those guys be respectful but with any fanbase, culture, various region, some people are tribal and support their own.

Yeah, when he went to Manchester (which has a huge Muslim/Pakistani population), Chimaev got mobbed so hard by everyone, it jammed the entire traffic. Never seen such rabbid fans for an MMA fighter (probably, other than McNuggets).

Chicago also has a big Muslim population so I am expecting Dricus to be boo'ed hard every time he speaks in press conference or during the fight. Poor guy gets boo'ed everywhere he goes - except when he wins.
