Rob has been consistently winning though. You're acting as if he's had a JDS type of decline after the Cain wars.

I never said he had that type of decline, just he’s never been the same since, which is true.

Watch the shots he eats and survives in Romero 2 and tell me he has anywhere near the same chin/recovery now.

He doesn’t. You never get that shit back.

Fighters don’t exist as trading cards, they are constantly improving and degrading simultaneously and in impossible to perceive ways at times.
 
Rob did not look on point in the fight. Looked slow and lethargic.

He absolutely dominated Marvin in his last fight.
Dricus is just the better fighter. Simple
 
He really outclassed Rob which I was not expecting at all. I knew he would be dangerous and his unusual style would present him with opportunities but this was levels... Rob just couldn't get started at all it seems. Props to DDP... Man made Rob look like yesterdays news in a very brutal fashion.

That's the beauty of MMA and any given day.

Rob is timid now, you could see it in the last 2 rounds of his fight vs Izzy.

This is why Ive been saying Chimaev would have beat Rob, and its why Rob refused to fight him.
 
It saddens me to see Whittaker take a loss, but this is better for division. Can’t watch Izzy dismantle guys that previously got chewed up by Rob for another 5 years.

When did Rob refuse to fight Chimaev? That's not true at all.
The UFC wanted to make the fight, but couldn't guarantee a date since Khamzat has been having VISA issues and they've been saving him for an October date and Rob wanted to fight sooner then that.

He didnt outright refuse, but he used the rankings as a reason to shrug off the potential fight. Its a valid reason, but when has rankings ever really mattered? Chimaev is one of the biggest names in the sport and Rob wasnt keen on fighting him, so it comes off as weak.

You're misinformed. He said multiple times he was open to it, all he wanted was a guaranteed title shot if he were to win over Chimaev which is completely reasonable.
The UFC never officially offered either of them the fight, but I'm sure if it was they would accept it. They specifically told Whittaker the Chimaev fight wasn't guaranteed due to VISA issue like I said earlier so he had to move on. Here's a video time stamped with it:



Also Khamzat "refused" to fight Whittaker at first because he'd rather train with him. He went back on this and then was more open to it months later when fight offers started becoming scarce.
So no one ducked anybody here, no one should be considered "weak", it's just unfortunate circumstances that prevented this bout from being made.

problem is this man can take you down and grapple with you
constant pressure even though he gets hit always
but well yeah no shame when you always get hit by a guy like whitaker

whitaker has been fighting for a very long time.i remember i was only in my mid 20s when i watched him
im already 35 now .i think hes declining
 
It looked like Dricus had no respect/concern for Whittaker’s striking power. That was a bully beat down.
