Thing is even the cosmetic procedures aren't perfect. After 4 repairs my son's looks just slightly better that Khamzats, but they come in all different severities, some are just the lip, others pallet too, etc.

I do kinda figure the procedures have gotten better since my son went thru it, him and Khamzat are about the same age.

Ratlip doesn’t stand a chance against Du plessis he was struggling with old Kamaru so badly that i believe hes already past his prime and gets knocked out badly. Hes mentally weak aswell and when Du plessis KTFO him i can see him retiring right away and if he does fight again he will lose. Hes one trick pony with terrible gas tank and dricus exposes him.

I completely disagree on Till, but other than than that you do make a valid point.

De Plessis is the flavour of the month, and people are acting like he's this unstoppable monster but if you stop and think about all his fights, he's really only bulldozed Whittaker. I thought Strickland clearly won the first fight, and even this shottish version of Izzy was a very competitive fight until DDP suddenly finished him.

Still, Chimaev has his share of underwhelming performances against much smaller fighters too (Burns, Usman), and DDP is a big strong middleweight and improving. I think the fight is 50/50.

Volk, Tsarukyan, Cannonier, Chandler, Gamrot and Garry have all been backup fighters in the past. I’m sure there’s others that I can’t remember off the top of my head as well.

Even if Khamzat was beat nonstop horribly. He still has the option to cut weight and join WW again. He's sort of undersized for MW and people here are weird about him being too big for WW, when I don't think his frame is too large for it even still. Even with a L, Khamzat has options. But if he loses at WW or misses weight again it's probably over.

I think you are overstating DDP's chances. Usman is a better fighter than DDP, though not as athletic (anymore). Khamzat is also likely a better fighter than DDP, though his gas-tank is not as good.

But beyond that, I believe that you are right. There's something in Khamzat that makes me believe he will fold and retire if he gets finished.
