Interesting to see DDP get outgrappled by a non wrestler. He doesn't look as big as he is now though. Makes me think Khamzat is going to have easy work even though he's got better.

Were we watching the same fights? The only time Soldic got any dominant position was after rocking/knocking DDP down. DDP got takedowns and soldic's back for several minutes of the first fight, clearly demonstrating who the better grappler was. There wasn't much grappling at all in the second fight other than Soldic defending takedown attempts, which hardly counts as outgrappling someone-- nullifying, sure, but outgrappling?? Maybe I missed something.

He's definitely good enough to be in the UFC lol. Whether he'd be a title contender is up for debate but saying he's not good enough to even get in is a little ridiculous.

Possibly. It might happen, but that is all speculation at this point. He fought in KSW for many years and then got picked up by ONE. Dricus was offered a contract from KSW into UFC. I mean, if he is good enough to be with the elites, he will be offered a UFC contract 100%. Right now, there seems to be no indications of that.

Well, good for him I guess. He is not fighting the best and must be content with it. That is for sure and more power to him with the money he makes, if he wants to fight against subpar competition. He also lost his 2nd of the 3 fights in ONE. Moreover, the guy who finished him, has a mediocre fight record of 15-7. Not elite. Makes you appreciate the elite fighters in UFC more, who get paid sh*t money, but the best wants to compete against the best to prove something.

It's not a terrible example because everyone and their mother knows that Serra beating GSP was a fluke and the fact that he got "wrecked" doesn't change that, but if you wanna keep playing stupid then be my guest.

Lee is their biggest name so he's worth it to them for sure. He's basically the face of the company.

Soldic was a bit of a case of shooting above their station imo. But they kind of needed to overpay to stop UFC getting him or him just staying in KSW like Parnasse did.
