Justin dies against every grappler and solidifies Paddy as the next legit contender. I like it. I think it makes Paddy/Ilia bigger while being a semi-safe fight for Paddy.

He's got a chance if he manages to get a title shot though because chances of Topuria trying to blow Gaetjhe's head off in that fight instead of a submission is pretty much guaranteed after the last what, 3 straight up KOs?

Not that this prevents Gaetjhe from getting straight up KOd into retirement but he can still stand and bang with strikers with serious power very well even at this stage in his career.

because i like justin gaethje and he's constantly getting the raw deal in favour of others. First porier gets to gets a title fight he doesn't deserve then bum charles, but when it's gaethjes turn, he has to kick rocks. Then Armen gets free unearned title shot, after 18 months of doing NOTHING but pulling out of fights and refusing fights. then GAETHJE is the perceived entitled one. I HATE mma fans.

Armens win over charles is depreciated, especially after last weekend.

Not at all true, but I am willing to admit I am a big fan of gaethje, I dont think he has a chance to beat illa, but he deserves it as much as the last 3 title contenders and that's a fact. I'd have rather seen armen get it than charles, but if they are going to give it charles dana white privilage, give it to gaethje also. he deserves it just as much.

If you don't think Arman should get the shot then there are no good decisions for who gets the next LW title shot, just varying degrees of bad decisions. Holloway has one recent fight at LW and just lost convincingly to Topuria, so he's not even an option, nor, obviously, is Oliveira. So you've got Gaethje, Hooker, Gamrot, Dariush, and Pimblett. Not a good choice in the bunch, so you can't dismiss any one of them just for being a bad choice. Topuria is a star and is going to fight someone. Pimblett really should pick up a legitimate top-20 win or two first. Of the remainder, anyone who claims to care about which one is most "deserving" is a liar because it's clear that, while they're all more deserving than Pimblett, none are particularly deserving, so it's really just a question of who would sell and who would be most likely to put on a fun fight.
