Don't like his willingness to get hit.
Not a good idea with Alex.
To be fair decrepit undersized 45 year old Brunson rocked DDP multiple times… it’s not an age issue it’s a skill issue. DDP is a tough SOB who’s overachieved, he’s masked a lot of his defensive lapses simply toughing it out. It all ends up coming back to catch up to him eventually, Forrest Griffin is a perfect comp.
DDP would get slumped against an elite LHW striker. Guys like Bobby, losing streak Izzy, or Strickland don’t have the power in their hands to make him pay… forget Pereira, I don’t think DDP would make it out of a fight with guys down the pecking order like Hill or Ozedemir
The size difference between Belal and poatan is crazy. It’s Jon Jones and GSP LMAOIt's seriously hilarious how the narrative that Dricus is trash still continues after last night, I've even seen people saying Belal would beat him but the fact of the matter is he finishes both of them. He's big, dangerous, cam offensively and defensively grapple, huge power in his hands and a dangerous BJJ threat. Neither Belal or Alex has fought a fighter with his style or pace to pull off finishes in the later rounds against someone as seasoned as Izzy. I think he beats most fighters around his weight class above and below.
Fight took place 6 years ago at 170 (yes, Dricus fought at 170 somehow) Du Plessis is a different animal and would win a trilogy if they ever fought again. Also completely different styles. Izzy looked like ADCCAdesanya when him and Alex grappled. And as far as Dricus' defense, Alex went to war with Bruno fucking Silva (who also got him down). Dricus getting him down is just as likely as getting caught by somethingI mean, we do MMA math Alex KO'd Sean in 1 round and beat the shit out of Izzy in both fights but Izzy is a legend and landed the KO shot in one of them. Alex at 205 is even better.
I called him beating Izzy for the strap even before the Bobby Knuckles fight.DDP is not

So lemme get this straight, it's ok to say Dricus is a different animal after 6 years, but Alex ground game is the same as his fight with Izzy 2 years ago?Fight took place 6 years ago at 170 (yes, Dricus fought at 170 somehow) Du Plessis is a different animal and would win a trilogy if they ever fought again. Shhh, logic is hard for some people! So lemme get this straight, it's ok to say Dricus is a different animal after 6 years, but Alex ground game is the same as his fight with Izzy 2 years ago?
Makes a lot of sense.
When has it been tested by a capable offensive grappler? Jiri and Jamahal don't shoot takedowns ever. The only person who ever did was Jan who is NOT a grappler by any meansSo lemme get this straight, it's ok to say Dricus is a different animal after 6 years, but Alex ground game is the same as his fight with Izzy 2 years ago?

No problem AF. DDP will soon beat Alex & Belal - at the same time. SMDH.When has it been tested by a capable offensive grappler? Jiri and Jamahal don't shoot takedowns ever. The only person who ever did was Jan who is NOT a grappler by any means
He also beats islam, which wouldn't need to be said normally but Belal created that narrative for one reason or another

I disagree with almost every word you said. I've been correct in predicting all of dricus's ufc fights thus far, so i'll stick with my read on my the guy.
The Forest Griffin comp is even weirder because Griffin's entire legacy is a dude who overachieved at a high level in spite of a total lack of physicality, explosiveness, and fast-twitch athleticism (which many of his peers took for granted). That is... pretty much the polar opposite of Dricus lmao. Both are perennial underdogs and underrated game-planners who overachieved at the elite level in their respective divisions, but beyond that I struggle to find the similarities.
Remember Belol’s name…it will soon be forgotten by most everybody.Belal is the ultimate underdog, i think he can pull it off.
