For claiming to be such a history buff, TS doesn't seem to know how BJ's career panned out. He failed to capture the LW belt twice, hence why he moved up to WW to fight Hughes. He couldn't win gold at LW and so tried at WW.
Conor swept through FW, slept the FW champ in record breaking time, and then moved up to win his second belt. He didn't move up after he couldn't win gold at his weight class. He was already a champion looking for the next challenge.
BJ beating Hughes was indeed a legendary moment in the sport, but you're talking out of your ass.
Of the great fighters in that era
Chuck
Fedor
Hughes
GSP
Rampage
Shogun
Anderson
Wandy
Hendo etc..
BJ is second tier and it is not even close. He was insanely inconsistent.. A career defined by what people said he was capable of doing. Versus what he actually DID..
