Don't boo Shavkat and give credit to Garry's great performance and all his work with Chute Boxe in Brazil

Garry's friendship with Oliveira and his love for Chute Boxe has made him a better fighter over the years. He has been really impressive last night. His TDD was on point, and his clinch game reminded us for sure of Olives. He even took Shavkat's back like a cat. He's the real deal, he's a big WW and i think he will give everyone's problems except maybe Belal. But who knows after what he showed

Very much agree.

I always thought this would be a tough fight. They've had similar strength of schedule.

Garry always showed potential no matter what camp he trained in. He's just such a big goofball it clouded fans judgement. More like rooting for him to lose than denying his skills.

Understandable.

Do I believe Garry has some S-tier grappling? No.

Do I believe Shavkat has always struggled with TD's and was never an elite grappler? Yes.

He always been elite he just lacks much killer instinct against top guys.

Yeah but you also believe it's khabib's fault Islam can't get a WW title shot

Not sure why everyone was pretending Shavkat was some wrestling wizard who just takes everyone down at will. He's dangerous once he gets guys down, but he had trouble getting Wonderboy down, going 1/5 TD attempts, and couldn't get Neal down at all.

That's exactly what we were saying about Khamzat when he fought Burns haha

He is not a big welterweight. His in case weight is was 180lbs according to CSAC. For comparison, when he fought geof neal, neal was 200lbs. Gary is a tall WW, but not big, and it showed when he was getting controlled on the cage for 11 minutes last night.

He is a talented guy though. Personally I'm not a fan of his style as I find it to be very low output and very risk averse.

Islam can get WW TS now but he would have to fight a team mate that Khabib invted to the team. What part of that are you missing?

Ian’s grappling looked worlds better in this fight than it did in the MVP fight. I knew he was putting in the work but I doubted his aptitude. He was hanging with Shavkat in the entanglements better than I thought he would. I misjudged him.

His camp was at Bang Tao in Phuket, Thailand

You make threads like these till you're fingers bleed but Sherdogers will never learn. The worse thing about this place is the threads made directly after a card.
