a couple weeks ago after denying 2 motions to dismiss in just one week of the trial, they filed a 3rd motion. clearly the judge knew they were just going to waste the courts time filing frivolous dismissal motions after the last one gets thrown out, so to counter their stall game the judge just decided to sit on the 3rd motion until an hour after the verdict came in, where he promptly shut down that motion too, as well as todd blanche's motion for an acquittal that he (and every other defense attorney would file) the moment that the prosecution rests and they get to present their defense.

i still don't think he's ruled on the 3rd motion of contempt (for the gag order violation shit) just yet, which they already had a hearing on and the judge decided to reserve his decision on until a later date.

poor donny, with all the money in the world he still can't seem to buy a win these days.

Everything Donnie does between now and July 11th(?) will be ammunition for the prosecution's judgement recommendations. ie) He has defamed E. Jean Carrol AGAIN this past week. If I am Alvin Bragg & Co. that is an especially persuasive argument that money (ie) a fine) is NOT a sufficient deterrent for this particular defendant.

Max is 4 years per count, but if he gets 4 months I will be (pleasantly) shocked.

the thing is, if he would have just paid that whore out of his own pocket instead of trying to conceal it through other means, he would totally been in the clear and they never would have charged him. there likely wouldn't have been any crime, as it's generally not illegal to pay hush money, well unless there is other crimes involved. but it would have been much harder, if not impossible to charge the guy if he didn't use campaign funds and try to conceal his payments.
