I don't empathize with your stance but I get it with regards to standard drugs. Fent to me is more akin to cyanide or ricin considering such a small amount (less than 2mg) can be lethal. Seems more killing agent than drug so healing and reforming dealers is something I can't support.

The problem is: We don’t really make shit anymore. We are primarily a service economy.

If the tariffs targeted specific industries in an attempt to protect some American companies, I could see the point. But just blanket tariffs are going to drive up prices. That isn’t debatable.

If you think it’s “worth it,” then whatever. Though I doubt most who think that would hold that same opinion of a Democratic president did the same thing.

The threat of tariffs got both Mexico and Canada to commit to more investment in border security. Personally, I don't think the US should have to go to these extreme measures to get Canada and Mexico to help with our borders.

Exactly. We don't make anything. Someone was talking about that a few years ago, that America is on the way to being a place whose ONLY export to the world is "entertainment/social media content".
