Donald Cerrone Vs Wonder Boy?

I hope cerrone goes back to 155. He isn't built for 170. He doesn't have the chin to make a deep run at 170.
God I heard this a million time before he destroyed Cote.
Cerrone is over 6 feet and is perfect for 170.
His body has more padding for that liver shot.
Did you pick Cote then you should just comment on him

I fucking love cerrone. I'm a huge fan check my posts. I don't have the heart to see him trade shots with the top guys at 170.

WB is most likely getting guys wish and a TS.

I do think Cowboy is an interesting matchup because he fights long (as proven tonight). Those leg kicks would put a stop to all that bouncing around and after that it gets real interesting.

Cerrone skill is probably top in welterweight.. If he is on he can beat all 170 including short Hendricks and Lawler.
You look at all his tools, he has more than almost all.

Thank you Jesus someone gets it. I few well placed kicks on WB's leg, it's going to be a totally different fight. He'd be a sitting duck when a few hard leg kicks land on either leg. Movement, GONE.

Lets just give Cerrone a few more fights. Im a huge Cowboy fan. Just let him fight. Dont rush a good thing. Cowboy goes on win streaks leaving crippled bodies behind UNTIL he gets to the BIG fight. He cant help it. His mind takes over and he freezes. I want to see him not get pushed and just let him fight. Cowboy has only lost to southpaws (except Varner that ended all fucked up).

Get a hold of yourself man. Hendricks, Rory, Woodley, Lawler and Wonderboy would wreck him. Condit and Maia would take 2/3 against him.

I am a huge Cerrone fan, I've watched him fight forever. He is massively talented, but he has a long ways to go before reaching the top of the WW class. He has the tools, but the guys at the top of the class in WW are all veteran killers.

What makes you think WB would just sit there and eat those shots?

Why? Why would a fighter as agile and intelligent as him just sit there and eat leg strikes? Cerrone isn't faster than him, what makes you think it would be so easy for him to land those shots?
WB had been a kickboxer forever, so you think NO ONE is his entire fucking combat career has tried to leg kick him?

Think before you post.

If Wonder Boy doesn't get a title shot, I'd love to see this fight for some reason.

Cerrone doesn't give a fuck and will bring it to the guy who tries to control the distance.
Sure would like to see cowboy vs Matt Brown, Jordan Mein, whiteker, or Thiago Silva. Wow!

WonderBoy would likely "Pettis" Cowboy.

I'm looking specifically at overall skills.
And yes he does have the size and training partners including jones.
I know he does not have a lot of wins at 170 but he is experienced and will have very good speed at 170.
Looks like a over reach but it is not because when you seen him cut to 155 he looked like a skeleton.

It was a big cut but he always handled it well. It's not like he struggled at 155, dude was a perennial contender...

And it definetly an overreach at this point in his career. Hendricks would do whatever he wanted with Cerrone, Wonderboy would have Pettis'd him all over.

I respect Cote but lets be real, he is much slower than Cerrone and this fight stayed standing. Ceronne only took him down to get in his head. He had no advantage there. Hell think of Condit, he's been at 170 forever, he has ever tool that Cerrone has but they are all just a little better, and he mixes up his striking better. He has also fought better top competition.

Cerrone is a few fights away from being able to keep up with the top WW. That's all im saying.

Edit: The more I think about this the more it bothers me. I get so tired of people overreacting when the see an MMA fight. IF... IF Cerrone ever fights Wonderboy and wins I'll send you a $150 giftcard to the steakhouse of your choice.

I give no fucks because I doubt he'll ever even get that far up the WW ranks. Even if he did WB would finish him, probably pretty easily.

I had some concerns prior to the fight, never mind all that shit.

I like cerrone in this fight...he has way way way better ground game and his leg kicks to opponents legs r like no others in mma actually Jose Aldo has vicious leg kicks to opponents legs as well

Wonderboy is clever but I think cerrone can take him down with ease whenever he wanted....

And the way cerrone kicks opponents legs is just brutal...i hope cerrone fights Nate again and fight smart and kicks legs into the fuckin stratosphere

Maia tools wonderboy and cerrone on the same night

Wonderboy was an ISKA kickboxer. Leg kicks aren't allowed under their rules. That's precisely why he utilizes that wide stance.

It's very difficult to check kicks in a sideways stance.

Thompson should fight no one but the winner of Lawler/Woodley. He already deserved the title shot before beating Rory. Cerrone should fight someone between #8-12 in the division, I think. Neil Magny or Gunnar Nelson would be a good fight for him.
