Donald Cerrone Vs Wonder Boy?

I like cerrone in this fight...he has way way way better ground game and his leg kicks to opponents legs r like no others in mma actually Jose Aldo has vicious leg kicks to opponents legs as well

Wonderboy is clever but I think cerrone can take him down with ease whenever he wanted....

And the way cerrone kicks opponents legs is just brutal...i hope cerrone fights Nate again and fight smart and kicks legs into the fuckin stratosphere

Maia tools wonderboy and cerrone on the same night
Maia is a great 1 dimensional fighter, Cerrone has best coaching /training in mma. I think they would have better chance than Matt Brown who is also great 1 dimensional fighter.
Cerrone has more layers to use vs Maia and better gameplan.
I really do not want to see this fight yet though, too many better looking fights.

What makes you think WB would just sit there and eat those shots?

Why? Why would a fighter as agile and intelligent as him just sit there and eat leg strikes? Cerrone isn't faster than him, what makes you think it would be so easy for him to land those shots?
WB had been a kickboxer forever, so you think NO ONE is his entire fucking combat career has tried to leg kick him?

Think before you post.

No need to get all combative with the "think before you post" comment. The fact that he is a kickboxer has nothing to do with his ability to eat a leg kick or not. Yes, kickboxers eat the most leg kicks of any other martial art. You should know this.

Yes, leg kicking WB is the game plan I think RL should implement against him. You leg kick him right out of his stance ala DC vs Jones and there you should be able to get inside and land.

Wonderboy's side kicks would kill Cerrone's upright posture

Michael Bisping has a better chance of 5 succesful title defences than Cowboy has of beating Wonderboy. In my opinion, Wonderboy has a very good chance of beating Lawler and Condit.

I get that he is a kickboxer. Again I ask you and whoever else, what makes you think that a fighter as agile and intelligent and fast as WB would just be so easy to leg-kick. Especially to the degree that it would seriously damage his ability to move. He is hard enough to hit cleanly as it is, he cuts angles, he adjusts and has shown an ability to stick with a gameplan for 5 rounds.

Why would he let someone slower than him land more than one or two of those?

A few people have just been throwing it around ITT like its just a foregone conclusion that he is gonna get crippled by leg kicks and then KO'ed against Robbie...

If Wonder Boy doesn't get a title shot, I'd love to see this fight for some reason.

Cerrone doesn't give a fuck and will bring it to the guy who tries to control the distance.
I'd rather see Cerrone vs. Nick Diaz

If this is a title contender fight, Wonderboy via "cowboy choking on big fights".

Cerrone is still a gatekeeper. A gatekeeper in two divisions. He can't handle the true elites.

I would like to see Cerrone fight his way up. Take time, make money and climb. He gives 2 shits about the belt..................... Ive been watching him closely for 7 years. He had a few new techniques in the Cote fight. I think he dropped his kickboxing coach(striking only) and has been using Jackson the past 2 fights including striking. Feed him orthodox boxers like Cote and Alvarez and watch him buckle the lead leg and win. Wonderboy is a bad match up. Cerrone has the chin, just not the liver. Just let the man fight and entertain us.

It's easy to hit guys that move around a lot with leg kicks.

That's why you see pressure fighters use them a lot when trying to get the other guy into a corner. When a guy starts moving in another direction, there's an opening for a leg kick there to punish him while the guy is temporarily immobile while switching directions. And, at that second, you get all of his bodyweight shifting right into the direction of your kick, adding tons of power to it.

That's so weird because it's rare that a guy has a weakness to getting hit in the body. It's like 1 fighter in a 100.

Well you clearly have your mind made up on this one. I'm not here to argue your broader points, or your breakdown of how to land leg kicks. I was arguing that Cerrone is no match for WB and that WB would beat Robbie.

I still stand by my assertion that Wonderboy is too smart, fast, agile and disciplined to be leg kicked into immobility.

Unless he decides to get into a standing flat footed war with Robbie he will probably win their fight by TKO. Hell even in that situation he is a good enough striker to win. Woodley could try to wrestlefuck him, but I don't like his chances to do that.

I'd give him a 85% chance to beat Robbie and 80% chance to beat Woodley.

I think it has more to do with his insides getting spilled out when he split his gut open when he wrecked his quad or dirtbike. The doctors had to wash his guts and re-insert. This is when they removed some of his stomach and his large intestine. He has that 12" vertical scar that runs from waistline up. Pettis had him hurt with a gut shot before finishing him off with the liver kick. If Donald didn't have the body issue and didn't mentally fold in the big fights, he would have had a belt. If Hunt was smart, he would go straight for Brocks body.
