Donald Cerrone charged with 3rd degree assault

I don't claim to know what he's like in his real life but he does come across like he walks around with a chip on his shoulder.
 
It's hard to tell from that source if it was uncalled for or not.
 
Iv never been a fan of cerrone, dont like his attitude. But dont pass judgement. Things get heated up, we have no idea what happened. Maybe the other guy started it. You cant expect cerrone to just get hit and not lay the smackdown in defence
 
met cerrone at a fan expo a few years back...dude was a complete douche and you could just tell by looking at him that he didnt want to be there whatsoever. still enjoy his fights though and continue to root for him for some reason lol

nice way to change the story. Cerrone was just at a bar chatting with ladies. Had zero clue it was some guys girlfriend. Guy gets pissed and tries to start shit. Garcia and Cerrone leave and they are followed out by guy and his friends and the guy starts shit again. Guy tries to attack cerrone and he kicks him once in the leg ending the fight before anything bad can happen.

and 3rd degree assault... Guy probably was getting in cerrones face and he touched the guy or maybe pushed him. Guy probably filed it because he knew who Cerrone was.

i dunno he is a bit cocky thats for sure, but he was one of the first guys at jacksons who taught me stuff outside of class when i first got there. He saw i was new and asked if i wanted some help. He is pretty cool most of the time, but he does get a cocky attitude some.

I dont know him as well as I know John Dodson or some other jacksons guys but i have trained with him.

On a side not leonard garcia is one of the nicest guys ever.

At the UFC fan expo in Oct 2011, I waited in 2 different lines to see him, but he kept running late (it's okay, I still got to meet Forrest, Phil Davis, Jon Fitch, and Mike Pierce). When he finally did show, Cowboy let me cut in front of a huge line to sign a pic for me and talk with me for a moment - he didn't have to, but he did.

CLIFFS: Shut your whore mouth.
 
This seems like a pretty two-sided affair, considering the list of charges to be applied to the Mr. Aley guy...Assault charges are rarely acted upon in court if they are not accompanied by battery.

Assault is just the the threat of violence, and the means to carry it out - if there were any physical contact it would be "battery" - for instance, raising a boat oar and swinging it at someone but not actually making contact would be considered assault. If this hypothetical person made contact with the oar it would be "Assault and Battery."

I am sure it was something very petty, over all.
 
If the other recognized him, he probably went out of his way to get Cerrone to swing at him.
 
3rd Degree? What did he do, throw an empty beer can?
 
All you guys who are holding this against Cerrone (despite not knowing what happened) are from the same mold of people who pick fights, get hit and call the cops.

He's a good fighter, and I like to watch him in the cage, but his attitude has always oozed... attitude. Him getting drunk and getting in a fight on a boat seems fairly in character for him.

I thought all these guys were rhode scholars.
