Donald Cerrone charged with 3rd degree assault

Yea, it's always like that unless they have solid proof of what happened.

If he did something very bad, he'd be in jail.
A misdemeanor? Cerrone could have just pushed him. I doubt it is more than that, otherwise they'd be going for felony assault.
 
How literal are they being with the assault definition I wonder? I mean technically, if he told the guy he was going to beat his ass and scared him that's assault. Usually 3rd degree offenses are the lowest ones on the tome pole, so I wonder if he was just mad and shoved him and got a charge for it because he is a pro-fighter?
 
Sounds like a dude crashed his boat into his and gave attitude about so Cerrone gave a chin check.Nothing wrong here
 
Probably nothing it all. It could literally be something as small as him saying I will kick your ass.
 
Because of his profession, and perhaps because people know he is a fighter, an assault charge here could be Cerrone pushing the guy, the guy falls over and well....who knows. I'm sure Cerrone was targeted by that drunk.
 
They probably tried to run him over by a boat or something on his wakeboard... no wonder he got mad.

It does say the other guy was charged with reckless endangerment. Just imagine your on a boat with your family and someone goes to close to fast to you. Almost tips you because they just don't care. I'd put a fist sized hole in there face

So basically the other guy said he hit him and there is no obvious damage, but because of the situation the cops probably had to charge Cerrone with something

im guessing the other guy was drunk and probably did something that could of killed somebody, so he got a beating.

if that's the case than the assault was appropriate.
 
"nice guys" assault people too y'know.....
