Waste and fraud wasn’t targeted to be reduced though.

Firstly, DOGE did no analysis whatsofuckingever as to what was wasteful or could be made more efficient. None. Musk sent out an email asking everyone in the government to let him know what they accomplished the previous week, and if he (with his zero government experience) felt it wasn’t accomplish-y enough, they were fired.
—Then they were all sent home to sit on their ass with pay, and eventually the government realized “holy shit, these people aren’t wasteful, they actually do jobs” and hired them all back.

Most of these contracts that were cancelled just result in the money going right back to the agency in question to be spent some other way, since they are mandated to spend the money by law.

And thirdly, any of these attempts mean absolutely jack shit when Trump and GOP pass a bill that’s going to add 3.5-5 trillion to the debt in the next decade.

DOGE was a failure when it came to eliminating fraud or waste, but they never really tried anyway. They existed to pinch pennies to offset massive tax cuts for the wealthy, to steal our personal info, and to target agencies that were investigating Musk.

You should have heard the radio silence of 60+ bureaucrats when I told them Earned Value should be 100% automated and that I could show them how American Electric Power already did it for all of its vendors. They refused to see the demonstration of it live.

Waste and fraud were cut. I watched it firsthand at the U.S. Department of Energy, and I am sure bureaucrat cuts like what I witnessed happened all over the Fed Gov.

Yea X/ Twitter, my algorithm is about 10% sports I’d say, 20 % politics/ news and 70 % work and research. It’s a great multi media platform for all of those.

Yea lot of BS accounts on there , bots and trolls. While I’m scrolling at work and see a subject like today the Georgia Trump thing , I’ll link and post it on here or send to a few friends.

But it is a cess pool in a way not like Reddit tho, or a rabbit whole like YouTube in the sense of just a one sided narrative like flat earthers ect .. X I like you can watch videos, embed news stories or just get someone’s opinion. I never post stuff or retweet on there, none of that crap, never leave a comment or argue with people either. I used it even when it was getting really censured for woke things and Covid,

it’s useful. In Afghan we had a base attack with suicide car trying to breach a wall, there was gun fighting off and on for 10 hours. It was close to my room 200 meters. I had no clue if they got on base or not and I used Twitters latest posts, looking up key words to see the latest news. Found out they didn’t make it on base but took over a hospital next to the base wall.
. I got more stories like that why it’s been useful, it’s really good in other counties I think, to find information, Google is good somewhat with search engine optimization and one sided bias it kind of sucks in different ways, DuckDuckGo is ok and I’m not saying X replaces those.

So DOGE wasn't a massive failure considering what its initial target goals were, the amount of times they had to be corrected on their falsified cuts and savings when fact checked, the firings they were responsible for that then had to be rehired anyways including extra fees from taxpayers due to lawsuits and backpay...

Theres a lot to say about DOGE. Dismantled funds to meal on wheels, cancer research, first time in social security history people missed payments....

In the end, deficit went up thanks to BBB, Kristi noems jets, Trumps weekly golf and ufc trips....give me a break about that bs about wanting to cut fraud, waste, abuse.

There is fraud waste abuse in the bureaucracies of the government. But for you to think DOGE was a success, or the Executive branch aren't rife with fraud waste abuse....no one takes your claim seriously.

Here in Florida, I guess Bezo's donated to Casey Desantis's Charity. If you want something done in Florida you donate to Casey's charity. It is sad because when Meatball Ron, started he was pro in protecting the environment, but the Ron was not a rich guy before taking office, now he is rich and willing to take a dump down the throat of a Bald Eagle as long as the check to Casey's charity clears.

Before I was married I used to fish that river a lot. Now Bezo's gets to dump a ton of wastewater in there everyday, all the while Brevard county is trying to raise money to clean up the river.
This is what DOGE was set up to do. Let the Elite poison the planet, make our children work at the company store, and die while working the assembly line, while those same Elite, get robots to do everything and no jobs in the future, just setting up a Monarchy of sorts, with their offspring owning everything and our children having no shot at the American dream.
All those Elite dudes had to do is buy all US media and dupe the middle class into letting them get away with it.
