We're almost 40 trillion in debt and nobody wants to cut spending. This is the biggest problem this country has ever faced and will be its downfall. You're gonna need $100 to buy a loaf of bread.

It’s not even cutting spending that’s the real issue imo, it’s the fact that we don’t make the wealthy pay their fair share, and we don’t do anything to end the buy/borrow/die cycle that the wealthy use to avoid capital gains tax.

I’ve said this before, but if DOGE truly wanted to eliminate 2 trillion in waste, they could’ve basically hit that target by doing what I said above. Economists have estimated that the wealthy wriggle their way out of paying a total of 1.8 trillion dollars every year. Some modest spending cuts could be fine, but we can’t cut our way out of this.
